BGT fans slam Westlife's performance amid Mark Feehily's absence
"Westlife really are missing something"Britain’s Got Talent last night (Saturday, May 9) saw Westlife take to the stage to perform during the live semi-final.
However, it’s safe to say that their performance didn’t go down too well with viewers, who also weren’t happy that Mark Feehily was absent.

Westlife perform on BGT
Following the semi-final acts’ performances, and before they found out who was in the final, Westlife took to the stage.
The Irish band, who are celebrating their 25th anniversary this year, performed some of their greatest hits during their performance on the show.
After their performance, they thanked their old boss, Simon Cowell, for “changing our lives”.
“It’s been a long time since Simon Cowell suggested standing up from our stools on a key change,” Nicky Bryne said.
Kian also paid tribute to Simon, saying they wouldn’t be standing on that stage last night if it hadn’t been for Simon.
However, viewers were left unimpressed with the band’s performance, saying that it’s “not the same” without Mark Feehily.

Where is Mark Feehily?
Westlife will be embarking on a world tour, kicking off in Ireland in September, to celebrate their 25th anniversary.
However, they will be without Mark, who announced last year that he wouldn’t be taking part in the tour. The star has had several health issues over the last few years that have largely kept him out of the limelight.
Mark contracted sepsis following a routine operation and was in intensive care back in 2020.
Then, in 2021, he was diagnosed with pneumonia. Following his initial illness, Mark has undergone four surgeries to address further complications.
In 2024, he had to take a step back from the group due to ill health, and in 2025, he announced he would not be joining the band on their world tour.
Speaking about Mark’s absence recently, Kian Egan said: “We’re devastated he won’t be joining us on this tour. We’ll be missing him every night just as much as the fans will. But he’s given us his full support. This is the 25th anniversary, it’s something that we all felt needed to be celebrated. We hope as soon as he’s ready he’ll be back with us and we look forward to that moment.”

“Westlife not the same without Robobunny [Mark’s Masked Singer character],” a fifth remarked.
