Britain's Got Talent's KSI and Simon Cowell wowed with Maverick Magicians trick but fans 'know' how they did it
Viewers think they have cracked itBritain’s Got Talent‘s KSI and Simon Cowell were roped into a big magic trick tonight – but fans are convinced they know exactly how it was done.
The two judges were chosen by the Maverick Magicians to take part in their audition.
KSI was asked by the trio – comprising of Edwin, AK and Jamie – to write down a word that means something to him.
The rule was that no one would know it, or be able to find it out on the internet.
KSI secretly wrote down the name of his old school friend, Roshni.
Meanwhile, The Maverick Magicians said they needed a watermelon. Simon was told to accompany one of the lads outside into the streets.
Simon was taken to a fruit stand. The magician handed him some toy money, before magically turning it into sterling.
Simon then selected a watermelon from the stand, paying the female seller for it. But it was what happened next that really wowed him and KSI.

Maverick Magicians wow KSI and Simon Cowell
Simon returned to the auditions, where KSI and fellow judges, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden, were waiting.
He handed KSI the watermelon before the Sideman star was invited onto the stage. The three magicians handed him a black apron emblazoned with: “I heart Simon Cowell.”
KSI was then given a large hammer and told to slice open the watermelon. As he smashed into it, the red fruit flew everywhere.
But on the floor was a small, rolled up piece of paper. KSI opened it to reveal the word ‘Roshni’ on it. It appeared to have been inside the watermelon and KSI was gobsmacked.
“There’s no way. It’s the most random name,” KSI said. “I’m literally lost for words, that was incredible. A huge yes from me.”
Simon, equally as amazed, added: “Seriously, that’s unbelievable.”
All four judges voted yes, meaning The Maverick Magicians are through to the next round. But not all viewers were as bowled over as they were.
BGT fans ‘work out’ Maverick Magicians’ trick
Taking to X, fans were quick to share their thoughts on how The Maverick Magicians performed their watermelon trick. And many had the same school of thought as they worked out ‘how’ it was done.
They were convinced one of the trio threw the piece of paper onto the stage just as KSI exploded the watermelon with his hammer.
One viewer posted: “That piece of paper was thrown not inside the watermelon!”
Another added: “Did someone have a piece of paper and chucked it in the midst of all the watermelon?”
A third said: “The piece of paper was obviously already on the floor under the guy’s foot.”
And a fourth chimed in: “Everyone looking at the hammer blow whilst the paper was thrown on the floor.”
