Every year, the agency opens its doors to a group of single celebrities who are looking for love. And this year, the line-up is full of well known faces.
One of which is Lucinda Light, who is already no stranger to a show about finding love, as she previously appeared on Married At First Sight. So, having some dates already sounds much easier than immediately getting married.
But who exactly is Celebs Go Dating star Lucinda Light? Here’s everything you need to know as the show kicks off tonight (May 4).
Who is Lucinda Light and how old is she?
Lucinda Light is a wedding celebrant and performer, originally from New South Wales, Australia. Born on July 14 1980, the star is currently 45 years old.
Before she appeared on MAFS, Lucinda was already a holistic counsellor and marriage celebrant. She has since toured the world, speaking about her personal experiences, sharing her toolkit of grounding exercises.
What season of MAFS was Lucinda on? And who was her husband?
Lucinda Light appeared on Married At First Sight Australia in 2024, so it hasn’t been too long since she rose to fame. During her time on the show, she quickly became a fan-favourite, with many enjoying her no-nonsense attitude.
She was matched with Timothy Smith during her time on MAFS Australia, however the pair didn’t find a romantic connection with each other. While they left the experiment as friends, it appeared a falling out happened off-screen which resulted in Timothy actually blocking Lucinda on social media.

On Instagram, Lucinda penned: “In my heart, I’ve always held Tim with understanding and compassion. I take responsibility for any hurt I may of caused by sharing my feelings and hurts. There are no hard feelings on my end. I still hold a lantern of hope for our friendship.”
While there isn’t much about why the pair actually stopped speaking, it could be something Lucinda Light opens up about on Celebs Go Dating.
Does Lucinda Light have a partner?
At the moment, Lucinda Light does not have a romantic partner, which is why she is looking for love on Celebs Go Dating.
Speaking ahead of her appearance on the Channel 4 show, Lucinda admitted she’s been left “overwhelmed” by the thought of dating.
She explained: “I’ve been on a couple of dates. I’ve definitely never been asked out on so many dates, many of which I have just felt overwhelmed and kind of left dangling.”
Lucinda also revealed on GK Barry’s podcast that she is “keen” to find the person to spend the rest of her life with.
“I’m not scarred from dating. But, it’s been a very busy year and I haven’t given time to dating. Look, I’m definitely in the market. I’m keen at some point to find my person.”
Has Lucinda had any plastic surgery?
Since her time on MAFS, Lucinda has not had any plastic surgery. She actually has revealed she doesn’t like the thought of changing her image.
She revealed to Stellar Magazine: “I haven’t had any plastic surgery or fillers or Botox. I just don’t subscribe to that sort of stuff. Let’s make ourselves shiny from the inside out. That, to me, is far more appealing than spending thousands of dollars on fillers and botox.”
The most dramatic thing Lucinda has changed about her appearance was when she got a platinum blonde bob, which fans deemed made her look 20 years younger.
What is Lucinda Light doing now?
Since leaving the MAFS experiment, Lucinda Light has had incredible success. She has released her own book, Shine Your Light: A Guided Journal for Deepening Your Emotional Intelligence. And she even got the opportunity to tour the book and give talks worldwide based on her own experiences.
However, that’s not the only thing Lucinda has done since leaving MAFS. She actually went on to co-host the Channel 4 show, The Honesty Box, in 2025, alongside Vicky Pattison.
The Honesty Box was a dating show that sees singletons partnered up and competing to win a £100K prize, which gets reduced every time somebody lies.
How did Lucinda find working with Vicky Pattison?
The duo met just before they were teamed up for The Honesty Box, but it appeared they very quickly became friends.
Speaking on GK Barry’s podcast, they gushed about how much fun they had on set, with Lucinda admitting Vicky “taught” her a lot.
She explained: “Vicky really held the scaffolding of the show. She did a brilliant job of hosting it. I was sort of in the non-judgemental space.
“We do have such a laugh together. I love being with Vicky. She has taught me a lot. You are amazing and you’re great to watch.”
Is Lucinda Light still a marriage celebrant?
Despite her huge success on TV, Lucinda has remained dedicated to her previous work. She is still a registered marriage celebrant and MC, continuing to offer her services.
According to her own official website, Lucinda can still be booked as a celebrant. It states: “Lucinda provides full legal certification and official documentation. For those who want the party to flow as beautifully as the vows, she steps in as your reception MC, keeping the energy high.”
Her website also has links to her public speaking and bespoke ceremonies, all of which Lucinda can be booked for. So, just because she’s on a TV show, doesn’t mean she can’t keep up with her old lifestyle.
