Charity and Vanessa reunion on the cards after Charity drops huge 'clue' in special episode
Vanity will never be forgottenWednesday night’s incredible episode of Emmerdale has certainly got fans talking about Charity and Cain Dingle – but it’s also pricked their ears about a certain Charity and Vanessa Woodfield.
As Charity reminisced fondly about her experiences with Vanessa, fans went wild, desperately hoping it means a reunion is on the cards. Is it likely though?
Emmerdale tonight
Tonight’s Emmerdale (Wednesday March 25) was a special two-hander episode between Charity and Cain. Cain was in self-destruct mode over his cancer diagnosis and his life falling apart and Charity was determined to help.
She pushed him to talk, but he got angry and smashed the whiskey bottle against the wall, breaking Zak’s tankard. As they worked together to glue it, Cain did begin to open up.
He admitted he was failing to make a life that Moira could come back to. Despite Charity’s reassurances, it was clear something else was on his mind too.
Cain distracted from all the talking by reminiscing about his relationship with Charity. Then he propositioned her.
She realised exactly what he was up to and agreed, suggesting they did it on the sofa. But her aggressiveness made Cain crack and he broke down. He admitted erectile dysfunction is one of the side effects of the prostate surgery.
Charity reassured him that there are other ways to please a woman and that Moira would never leave him over something like this.
The pair made a promise to always be there for each other, no matter what, with Charity suggesting she may need Cain sooner than he thinks.
Charity talks about Vanessa in Emmerdale
During their conversation, Charity mentioned how Vanessa was the best lover she’d ever had.
“She might have a wardrobe full of jumpers, but she definitely knows what she’s doing in the sack,” Charity told him.
And the comment about Vanessa made fans go wild.
“It’s tragic but I will be forever thinking they might actually make it in the end. all these random scenes, mentions, the charged atmosphere these past months – they make so much sense, but Emmerdale simply refuses to commit,” said one followed by the hashtag, Vanity.
“EMMERDALE! STOP DOING THIS TO ME! VANITY ALL ABOARD!” added another excited fan.
A third wrote: “My Vanity heart. God dammit, how on earth are they still not together? No matter what comes out of Charity’s mouth, it’s always gonna be Vanessa at the end of the day. They are wasting their time… For real.”
A fourth agreed: “The best she’s ever had!!! Vanity crumbs between Cain and Charity in 2026 omg I’m doing so fine!”
“I know she’s talking in context about bedroom antics but I’m choosing to believe she really means best partner PERIOD,” said a fifth.
Someone else begged: “When are Emmerdale gonna revisit VANITY? they’ve revisited every other ex couple twice or three times over. I think it’s Vanessa and Charity’s time for a second chance, they loved each other so much.”
