Classic Emmerdale spoilers: Bad news for the Sugdens, trouble for Edna and Diane's back

Bad news for the Sugdens
The Sugdens are shocked to learn Billy Hopwood – Daz and Andy’s father – is due for parole.
The news overshadows Diane’s return to the village, until her odd behaviour starts to worry the family. When Diane finds out about her sister Val’s trouble with the police, she laughs uncontrollably!
Things aren’t going well for Edna
Meanwhile, Edna hands in her resignation and urges Jimmy to tell the truth. But they’re interrupted by a furious Tom who orders Edna to stay away from his son.
Edna, though, isn’t giving up. So Tom takes matters into his own hands.
Perdy tells Grayson the truth in Classic Emmerdale
Elsewhere, Perdy’s not well and Grayson wonders if she might be pregnant. But feeling guilty, Perdy blurts out that if she were pregnant there would be a chance the child could be Matthew’s!

Edna gets a shock
Later, Edna’s horrified to see Peter back in the village, along with his mum, Lily. Afraid Tom might spill the beans, she tells Peter that Lily is his real mum.
Peter’s furious to hear the truth and demands to know why it’s taken Edna this long to tell him. Edna admits it’s because of Tom’s threats and Peter’s even less impressed.
He leaves the village forever.
Money troubles for the Kings in Classic Emmerdale
Elsewhere, Tom’s annoyed all over again when rumours fly round the village that the Kings are almost bankrupt. Matthew assures his grumpy dad that the new housing development will ease their financial woes.
Tom though wants to use the pension fund but he gets a shock when he finds it empty! Obviously, he blames his sons, but how will they react?

Billy’s causing trouble and he’s not even out of jail yet!
News spreads around the village about Billy’s impending release, but Bob and Kelly agree to keep it from a fragile Viv.
Meanwhile, Daz and Jack visit Billy in jail. Emotional Daz tells his dad to stay away from the village and pledges his allegiance to the Sugden family.
Emmerdale usually airs weeknights on ITV at 7.30pm, with an early release on ITVX at 7am.
Classic Emmerdale usually airs every weekday on ITV3 at 6am and 6.30am, plus 1.40pm and 2.10pm.
