Coronation Street ITVX early release sees Jodie 'erase' Shona from Harper's life mid-surgery
Jodie claimed to be Harper's mum
In today’s Coronation Street ITVX episode (Wednesday, March 4), Jodie headed to the hospital to support sister Shona through Harper’s operation.
However, she then bumped into the mum of another baby at the hospital and introduced herself as ‘Shona.’
Making out that she was Harper’s mum, Jodie made out that her ‘husband’ David was struggling to remain strong.

Baby Harper went to hospital for her operation to remove the mass on her neck today, with David and Shona telling their family that they didn’t want them there.
However, Nick then started phoning Gail with the risks of the surgery as Jodie suggested that David and Shona could do with some in person support.
Before long, the whole Platt clan (minus Gail obviously) were at the hospital to sit with the worried couple. And, Shona wasn’t best pleased as they took hospital selfies and dished out day old paninis like they were at a picnic.
Shona then panicked when she saw the doctors rush into Harper’s operating room, finding out that she had a small bleed. But, fortunately, it wasn’t serious.

Spotting David walking through the corridor after comforting Shona, Jodie Ramsey stopped to give him a hug. David wasn’t a hug person but agreed as long as she didn’t tell anyone.
Jodie promised him that Harper would be okay before bumping into a mum waiting for her baby to be discharged from hospital.
Spotting an opportunity, Jodie then played make believe by introducing herself as ‘Shona.’ She told the mum that her baby Harper was having surgery and that her ‘husband’ David was struggling to stay strong so she had to instead.
Sometimes keeping up appearances was a challenge for her, but one she carried out for the sake of her family.
Just how long will it be before Jodie attempts to actually get her claws into David? And, will anyone try to stop her before she does?
