As Daniel sides with the Driscolls over groomer Megan, spoilers reveal another twist ahead

Can the Driscolls completely trust Daniel?
Tamzin Meyer

In tonight’s episode of Coronation Street (Friday, March 20), Daniel Osbourne told Adam that he mustn’t take on Megan’s case anymore.

After realising that Megan had been keeping her pregnancy a secret from him, Daniel confronted Megan and sparked the end of their relationship.

He then joined the Driscolls in their quest to make Megan pay for her crimes, no longer believing that Megan was innocent. But, how long will he stay on the Driscolls’ side?

Daniel turned against Megan in Coronation Street

Tonight on the cobbles, Kit questioned Megan over the grooming allegations while gossip started to spread around the Street.

Kit then brought up the topic of Megan’s pregnancy, asking her why she’d kept this information from them. She made out that she didn’t want to tell anyone until she knew that Daniel was ready to be a father to her child.

Later on, Daniel confronted Megan over the pregnancy (only becoming aware of it after Eva filled him in), wondering why she’d hidden it from him. When he asked Megan to do a DNA test to confirm that he was the father, Megan refused.

Admitting that this made her look guilty, Daniel said that if she didn’t do a test then they would be over. Megan didn’t appreciate Daniel’s lack of trust and decided to leave him anyway.

At the pub, Daniel then demanded that Adam stopped representing Megan immediately. He now believed Sam’s word that Megan had been having an affair with teen Will and was possibly pregnant with his baby.

Corrie spoilers suggest Daniel’s change of heart over Megan

In Coronation Street spoilers for next week, Sam and Hope both question Daniel’s loyalty to the Driscolls and reckon that he could still secretly be on Megan’s side.

The Driscolls gather for what’s meant to be a serious chat about Megan, her baby, and that all-important DNA test she’s refusing to take. But calm discussion? Not a chance. Will jumps in to defend Megan like her personal bodyguard, while Maggie completely loses her patience, and before long it’s less ‘family meeting’ and more full-blown showdown.

Ben later tries a softer approach, nudging Will towards a counselling session in the hope he might finally open up about what’s really going on. But just when it seems like progress might be made, Kit drops a bombshell – forensic checks on both Will and Megan’s phones have turned up absolutely nothing dodgy. There’s frustration all round… and Megan looking more untouchable than ever.

Meanwhile, Daniel firmly urges Sam to speak to the police. But here’s where things get murky. Hope throws in a worrying theory – what if Daniel isn’t as firmly against Megan as he claims? Could he actually be playing both sides?

It’s enough to rattle Sam, especially as Daniel’s behaviour starts raising eyebrows. Is he genuinely trying to help, or is his loyalty to Megan stronger than anyone realises? With suspicion growing, Sam decides not to take any chances, ditching his phone after fearing Daniel might be tracking his messages.

Elsewhere, Ben confides in Steve and Tim, feeling as though he’s made a huge mistake ever trusting Megan. But as doubts swirl and sides begin to blur, where does Daniel truly stand?

George Clarke profile: From social media star to Strictly favourite

George Clarke has a huge online fanbase and, for those who don't know who he is, he's hoping Strictly Come Dancing will also make him household name.

The Strictly contestant is taking to the BBC ballroom alongside 14 other celebrities this autumn in the hope of bagging the coveted Glitterball Trophy.

Given the millions of fans who already support him, albeit the younger generation, he is even being tipped as the favourite to win. But who is George Clarke? Here's everything you need to know about the Strictly Come Dancing contestant.

What is George Clarke famous for?

George Clarke was born on December 3rd 1999, which makes him 25. He is one of the youngest contestants on Strictly this year. George is just two years older than fellow Strictly star and activist, Ellie Goldstein, who is the youngest.

Growing up in Bristol with his parents and older sister Emily, George studied Exercise and Sports Science at the University of Exeter. But his career now is far away from that.

George's life changed forever when he began posting gaming and reaction videos on TikTok and YouTube. His hobby has now become a full-time career, with George working with YouTube mega-stars, including KSI and the Sidemen.

How many followers does George Clarke have?

George’s big break came in 2019 when he began posting on TikTok with the user name @georgeclarkeey. As he shared his love of gaming and hilarious reaction videos, he quickly gained an impressive following. The content creator now has more than 2.3 million followers on the app.

This isn't the only place where George has found a following, though. His YouTube channel has a staggering 48 million views to date. Posting under the name @georgeclarkey, the influencer has over 614,000 subscribers who regularly watch his reaction videos. This includes a recent clip of himself laughing at old Strictly Come Dancing fails. (Hopefully, that doesn't come back to haunt him!)

George is also co-host of The Useless Hotline Podcast, which began in 2022. The tongue-in-cheek pod sees George and fellow influencer Max Balegde answer listeners' dilemmas, no matter how small or weird.

With guest stars including Canadian comedian Katherine Ryan and US pop star Jojo Siwa, the podcast is hilarious. It's definitely one to binge if you find yourself rooting for him on Strictly.

How did George Clarke meet the Sidemen?

With millions watching his videos, it is no surprise that George caught the eye of other influencers as well.

Surprisingly, though, it was a face-to-face meeting that finally brought George and the Sidemen together. The 25-year-old was selected to play in Sidemen’s 2025 charity football alongside founder members KSI and  Miniminter.

Playing in front of 90,000 fans at the iconic Wembley Stadium, it seems that the YouTuber was just as impressive in person, and his team lost by a single penalty. Following the match, George was later invited to join the Sidemen.

It is clear that the influencer has a sporty side, and this should be an advantage on the dance floor. Unsurprisingly, betting site Oddschecker are already anticipating that George will do well on Strictly – with 9/1 odds that he will win the series.

Is George Clarke related to architect George Clarke?

Having spotted a George Clarke among this year’s Strictly stars, fans would be forgiven for wondering whether he was related to the presenter. Many even questioned whether the duo were father and son.

Sadly, the influencer only shares his name with The Restoration Man and Amazing Spaces presenter.

The 25-year-old does, however, have a surprising connection to one of the UK’s most beloved film studios.

George’s dad is Sean Clarke, who is the current managing director of Aardman Animations – the studio behind Wallace and Gromit. The influencer’s dad has been with the firm since 1998 and oversees Aardman’s most iconic characters, including Shaun the Sheep.

This has undoubtedly influenced George, who even named his pet mouse Gromit after the studio’s debut character.

However, this isn't George’s only claim to fame.

Who is George Clarke dating?

In a recent episode of The Useless Podcast, George finally went public with his girlfriend Yasmin Amelia.

It seems Yasmin has also built a name for herself in the entertainment industry, as she has over 35,000 followers on Instagram. In addition to this, the influencer is also represented by J'adore Models.

Despite both being in the public eye, little is known about their relationship.

Though George has previously dodged questions about his love life, the 25-year-old said he wanted to stop any speculation

He told fans: "That's part of the reason why we wanted to say something. Because the two options were to say something. You have full control over how it comes out."

"Whatever you say is basically how people find out, or it stays private. [It] just sort of takes all the control out of your hands. But then, I [will] just go on stream after that and be like, that's not true, by the way. But, yeah, she's my girlfriend."

The YouTuber went on to confirm that he’d been in a relationship for a little over a month. Don’t expect videos of the loved-up couple on social media, though, as George prefers to keep his relationship private.

He stated: "I've always said I don't want it to be, if I did have a relationship, I wouldn't want it to be a public thing. But I feel like it's just a nicer feeling to have it be known and be private. As opposed to it being a complete secret."

After learning more about his partner, Strictly fans are now wondering who George will be paired with on the dancefloor.

Who is George Clark dancing with in Strictly Come Dancing?

With George in line for the glitterball trophy, many fans are curious about who he will be paired with.

While the BBC has yet to make an announcement, it is thought that the YouTuber may waltz away with one of Strictly’s newest professionals: Alexis Warr.

The US dancer rose to fame after winning So You Think You Can Dance in 2022 and has also appeared on the US Dancing with the Stars.

Further fuel was added to the rumour, as her name appeared along with George’s after a reported leak about this year's couples.

Though has been circulated on the Strictly Spoiler website, the BBC have yet to give a comment about this year's couples.

We will just have to wait until Strictly Come Dancing starts to find out.
