'I wish they'd stop showing repeats!'
Deal or No Deal is back on ITV today (March 27), but avid fans will likely be in for disappointment.
That’s because, while host Stephen Mulhern is back, he isn’t back with new episodes…
Deal or No Deal returns to ITV
Earlier this year, season 2 of Deal or No Deal came to an end.
Weeks later, it was back in the ITV daytime schedules. And, after Stephen announced that season 3 had been commissioned, many presumed that it would be brand-new eps gracing our screens.
Sadly not…
Shifted to the slightly earlier time of 3pm from 4pm, ITV has actually decided to air repeats of the popular game show.
Earlier this month, it started showing repeats of Stephen’s very first series as host, which debuted in November 2023.
“Why so many repeats? Do viewers complain to @ITV about these repeats? I’ve never seen a programme show this many. @Ofcom, is this allowed?” asked one angry game show fan at the time.

Now, as series 1, episode 7 airs today, viewers are still just as disgruntled.
‘What’s the point?’
“What’s the point of putting repeats of #DealOrNoDeal ? We know the outcome @ITV,” complained one.
“Is this a repeat?” another asked yesterday after recognising contestant Carol. “Episodes from Series 1 and 2 of Deal or No Deal are on @ITV so often, the players could have got more money from repeat fees than they got from The Banker!” quipped another.
“Isn’t this what ITV Quiz is for?” another asked.

And Stephen himself likely got more than he bargained for when he tweeted his followers to ask: “Be honest… have you ever sat there watching a game show on TV thinking I’d absolutely smash this show… or is that just me?”
“I mostly watch them thinking I wish they’d stop showing repeats,” one responded!
When will Deal or No Deal season 3 air?
Sadly, we’re not entirely sure.
It has been commissioned, but ITV has told us that it’s too soon for a transmission date currently.
Today’s episode sees Karen take on The Banker. But we won’t spoil the ending… just in case you didn’t see it first time around!
