In tonight’s episode of Coronation Street (Friday, February 6), Debbie Webster was sent down to prison for two years and eight months.

Soon, she’ll be coming face to face with the prison ‘Queen Bee’ – played by former Emmerdale star Kelli Hollis.

But, a new fan theory has suggested that Debbie’s fellow inmate could be Lauren Bolton’s mum.

Debbie sent to prison in Coronation Street

The day of reckoning finally arrived as Debbie headed to court, hoping for a last word with Carl before her fate was sealed. But Carl stayed away, leaving Debbie to face the music without him by her side.

In court, the verdict landed hard. Debbie was sentenced to four years for the crash that claimed Billy Mayhew’s life, later reduced to two years and eight months after her guilty plea. Summer felt justice had finally been served, though tensions flared when Bernie appeared more focused on Debbie’s downfall than Billy’s memory.

Behind bars, Debbie’s bravado crumbled. Alone in her cell, panic set in as her vision blurred. She banged on the door, desperate for help, before collapsing.

Back on the Street, Ronnie was blindsided by a call from the prison – Debbie had been rushed to hospital after suffering another TIA. Even Carl couldn’t hide a flicker of regret.

Debbie later woke in a hospital bed, confused, emotional, and horrified to realise she was handcuffed, guarded, and facing a very lonely future.

Coronation Street fan theory predicts Lauren Bolton’s mum is in prison with Debbie

With Debbie now in prison, she’ll soon be reunited with villain Lou Michaelis. And, she’ll also be introduced to the ‘Queen Bee’ of the prison who will be played by Emmerdale’s Kelli Hollis.

A new Coronation Street fan theory though has suggested that Kelli Hollis’ new character could be Lauren Bolton’s mum.

One fan online responded to Kelli Hollis’ casting announcement with: “Lauren’s real mum? Please say you are playing Lauren’s mum?”

Another person on TikTok said: “You should be Lauren’s mum, you look so like her.”

A third person agreed: “She could definitely play Lauren’s mum, they are so alike.”

But, could there be a connection there? Kelli’s role is only set to be brief, but could her character be related to Lauren?

One Night on ITV: Full cast list of the gritty mystery drama led by Jodie Whittaker

One Night is capturing viewers with its gritty storyline about the events of one tragic night - and here's the full cast list.

British actress Jodie Whittaker is one of the three leading ladies in the ITV drama, which is set in Australia.

The plot follows Jodie's character Tess and her friends Simone and Hat, who were all there on that fateful night 20 years ago.

Simone has now secretly written a novel based on what happened and it's an instant best-seller. The trouble is, the book's release also stirs up the past...and it's ugly.

One Night is a six-parter and viewers are taken back to the past in many flashback scenes, including young Tess, Simone and Hat. Will viewers ever discover exactly what happened and who was responsible?

Here's the full cast list of everyone who stars in One Night on ITV.

Jodie Whittaker stars as Tess in One Night

One Night is Jodie Whittaker's first major acting role since her Doctor Who era. Jodie played The Time Lord from 2017 to 2022 and she was the 13th Doctor Who. The role was significant, as it was the first time a female had played the Doctor.

In One Night, her character is Australian. This means she had to adopt an Aussie accent for the part.

Jodie was born on June 17, 1982. This makes her 43 years old. Jodie grew up in West Yorkshire and, after finishing school, attended the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.

In 2006, Jodie landed her first main role in the British comedy film Venus. The following year, she appeared in the move St Trinian's. Jodie was also invited back to appear in the sequel, St Trinian's 2: The Legend of Fritton's Gold.

Sticking with films, Jodie also had a role in the 2011 romantic film One Day. She played Tilly, a close friend of lead character Emma Morley, who was portrayed by US actress Anne Hathaway.

Jodie has a long list of television credits too, including Doctors, Dalziel and Pascoe, Return to Cranford and Black Mirror. But one of her best known roles is in the ITV crime drama Broadchurch. She appeared in all three seasons as Beth Latimer.

In 2017, Jodie starred in the first season of BBC medical drama Trust Me. She played ward sister Cath Hardacre, who lost her job for whistleblowing, relocated to Scotland and stole the identity of a doctor.

This year, Jodie reprised her role of Doctor Who for a cameo appearance in the finale of series 15. She is also set to star in new BBC drama Frauds alongside Suranne Jones.

Nicole da Silva plays Simone

In One Night, Nicole da Silva takes on the role of aspiring novelist Simone - aka Mon. After years of getting nowhere, she finally gets her big break with her book One Night. But an instant best-seller, it also drags up the trauma of the past for her friends Tess and Hat.

Nicole is an Australian actress, whose family hails from Portugal. She was born in Sydney on September 18, 1981, which makes her 43. Nicole attended University of Western Sydney's drama school Theatre Nepean.

The actress is best known for playing Stella Dagostino in the Australian police drama series Rush. The show followed the Police Tactical Response team in Melbourne. Nicole played Stella from 2008 to 2011 and even broke her leg while filming one scene.

Her next role was similar. Nicole landed the part of Franky Doyle in the Fox Showcase prison drama series Wentworth. Her character, Franky, was serving seven years for an assault in a celebrity chef.

Nicole landed the award for Most Outstanding Performance by an Actor (Female) at The ASTRA Awards in 2014. The awards are held by the Australian Subscription Television and Radio Association. While still starring in Wentworth, Nicole was cast in medical drama Doctor Doctor.

Jodie has also enjoyed a successful stage career. This year, she has been starring in the production The Lover & The Dumb Waiter in Sydney. In 2026, she will take the lead in Aussie playwright David Williamson's play Top Silk, which is about two lawyers.

Yael Stone portrays Hat in the cast of One Night

Like her One Night co-star Nicole da Silva, Yael Stone was also born in Sydney. She arrived on March 6, 1985, making her 40 years old. Her father, Harry Stone, arrived in Australia age three from Czechoslovakia. He is a first-generation of Holocaust survivor.

Yael previously admitted in an interview that she was a "sickly kid", who was unable to take part in sport. Instead, she had speech and drama lessons. As a teen, she attended the Newtown High School of the Performing Arts in Sydney. Yael completed her studies at the nearby National Institute of Dramatic Arts.

The actress is best known for her portrayal of Lorna Morello in Netflix prison drama Orange is the New Black. Yael had moved to New York four months earlier. She has told The Guardian: "I was really genuinely surprised to get a job in this town. I did not realise what I was in for; I did not realise how big this experience would be, how it would expose me to these people I work with who are really inspirational."

Yael starred in Orange is the New Black for three series. The Aussie received widespread praise for her accent as Lorna, as it was a mix of Brooklyn and Boston.

She has since appeared in American comedy-drama High Maintenance and Aussie shows Firebite, Wellmania and Bay of Fires. Yael has two children and now lives permanently in Australia.  She's an environmentalist and gave up her Green Card, which allowed her to work in the US, to help with carbon emissions.

George Mason plays Joey Calley

George Mason, 35, stars as one of the two very 'rough around the edges' Calley brothers in One Night. He was born in New Zealand and began acting aged 13. He played school bully Arch in the 2005 New Zealand drama, 50 Ways of Saying Fabulous.

George later bagged the reoccurring role of Regan Ames in the TV medical drama Shortland Street. The actor went on to land small roles in several other TV shows before landing the part he is best known for.

In 2014, he made his debut in Australian soap Home and Away. George starred as Martin Ashford for four years, including in three Home and Away specials.

Since bowing out of the soap, George has appeared in several New Zealand and Australian crime drama series'. They include The Gulf and My Life is Murder.

Last year, George starred in eight episodes of the Disney+ series Last Days of the Space Age. Netflix fans may recognise George from the drama miniseries The Survivors. Coming up, George will be seen on the small screen in Australian comedy-drama Sunny Nights.

Kat Stewart stars as Vicki

Australian actress Kat Stewart plays Tess's wife Vicki in One Night. Interestingly, Vicki is English in the ITV series, while her on-screen wife Tess (Jodie Whittaker) is supposed to be an Aussie.

Kat was born in Victoria on November 30, 1972. This makes her 52 years old. She enjoyed acting from a young age but initially embarked on a career in PR and marketing. Realising she wanted to follow her passion, Kat enrolled in night classes at an acting school.

Her hard work paid off and Kat is now a multi award-winning actress. In 2006, Kat landed a main role in the BBC comedy Supernova. She starred alongside Welsh actor and Gavin & Stacey star, Rob Brydon.

Kat became a household name in Australia two years later. She bagged herself the part of Roberta Williams in true crime drama Underbelly. Roberta was the wife of the late gangland killer and drug trafficker Carl Williams.

The real life Roberta Williams was reportedly "unhappy" with her portrayal, but critics weren't. Kat won both a Logie Award and a AFI Award for the part.
