Dr Todd hiding secret identity that will horrify everyone, fans claim
This could be far worse than bullying Jacob...Dr Todd in Emmerdale is fast cementing herself as the soap’s latest villain as she bullies and criticises Jacob Sugden, putting him under immense stress. But if fans are to be believed things are far, far worse than they seem.
In fact, many think she is hiding a secret identity that would be absolutely horrific if true…
Dr Todd in Emmerdale connected to Ray and Celia?
With Dr Todd clearly not here to make life easy for anyone, fans are starting to speculate on who she could really be. And certain names spring to mind. Two in particular: Ray and Celia.
The evil duo were both killed off early in the New Year, with Ray stabbing mum Celia and Bear offing Ray. But some viewers are convinced that storyline is not over as they think there’s still a ‘big boss’ to be exposed.
“I bet she’s the big boss of Ray and Celia,” commented several people on our Facebook thread. Another added: “I bet she is the secret one in the village [who is] head of Celia and Ray.”
Another posed the idea that she is Ray’s biological mother. “I think she may have something to do with Ray, maybe his mother, coming back for revenge?”
A further commenter referenced Todd’s love for fast cars and whiskey. “She likes expensive cars eh? Could the cars be the sign of drug money?”
Fans sure Dr Todd is not legit
Dr Todd first began mentoring Jacob in January 2025 and it seemed she was a firm but fair type. She was tough on him, but also compassionate when circumstances demanded.
However that has all changed now and Dr Todd is clearly singling Jacob out. She is giving him a hard time and the strain of her attitude is causing him to struggle.
She’s also put him on her mentor programme, which ups the pressure as it means double the amount of work and double the amount of time spent with her.
The soap has already revealed that this is a workplace bullying storyline that sees Todd continue to find fault and criticise Jacob, pushing him to the edge. But some fans think there is more to it. They have spotted similarities between her and Maya Stepney – who groomed Jacob when he was just 15.
“His boss is harder on him than on the other student,” commented one on social media. “I’m getting Maya vibes – he’s obviously older now, but to me he’s still young.”
“Another Maya situation, in terms of Jacob going with much older women I mean,” added another.
Someone else suggested: “She could be related to Maya and is getting her revenge for her, probably her sister?”
“Bet she’s Maya’s sister,” added another.
