Dr Todd starts a wicked rumour about Jacob and April fears the worst
Jacob realises there is nowhere he can hide from Dr Todd
In Emmerdale spoilers for Thu, Apr 16 Jacob hatches a plan to get away from Dr Todd. The young medic wants to escape his tormentor, but Todd has other ideas when she manipulates Manpreet into thinking Jacob is obsessed with her.
Elsewhere, Paddy is horrified to learn April is being called to give evidence for the prosecution. The fragile teen fears her testimony will backfire and Dylan will therefore be sent down.

1. There’s no escape for Jacob
Jacob feels like he can’t breathe with Dr Todd now living in the village.
At his wits’ end with her mind games and bullying, Jacob hatches a plan. He arranges to swap shifts with Rich so he can get away from Todd for just one day. But Jacob’s stomach drops when he hears that swapping placements means he will have to work with his nemesis tomorrow.

2. Todd manipulates Manpreet in Emmerdale spoilers
Having already recorded an audio log accusing Jacob of obsessive behaviour, Todd has another idea. She is determined to make she comes out of this looking glowing, despite what that means for Jacob.
So, she sets about with more plotting. Todd gets Manpreet on side and makes her believe that it’s Jacob who’s got the obsession.
But will Manpreet be fooled and fall for Todd’s terrible lie?
3. Paddy makes a shock discovery
Over at Cafe Main Street, Paddy recieves a piece of worrying information.
He learns that April is going to be called to give evidence for the prosecution. The news leaves Paddy reeling, however he’s not the only one.

April is in an anxious state as she struggles with the thought of testifying in court. She knows that one wrong word and the whole thing could backfire, resulting in Dylan being sent to prison.
