Emmerdale fans ‘work out’ exactly who stole Robert’s money following ‘incredible’ poker scenes

Fans have spotted a telling 'clue'

Emmerdale fans are convinced they spotted a ‘clue’ in tonight’s episode that solved the mystery of who stole Robert Sugden’s money.

It’s been a dramatic few weeks for Robert as he had been working non-stop to find Jimmy’s missing £150K. Then, when he succeeded, Aaron made it clear Nicola deserved the money more than them. So, once again, scheming Robert came out and he managed to find a solution for everyone.

But what he didn’t expect was Gabby to realise he had manipulated her into selling, and so she turned the tables on him. And therefore, Robert desperately needed some money to run the Hide – and quickly.

Emmerdale aired ‘incredible’ poker night scenes

Robert decided the best way to get money to save the business was by taking it from Joe Tate. So, he organised a high stakes poker night for a bunch of villagers.

Initially all the men were losing because of Claudette. But they pretended the game was over and she left, so they continued without her.

As the games went on, it narrowed down to the final two – Robert and Joe. But in the end, Robert decided to put everything he had on the table, including ownership of the Hide.

Joe was left absolutely stunned when Robert managed to beat him in the very last round, winning a whopping £100K.

In the pub, the Sugdens were celebrating the huge victory, but it was revealed that Serena and Sarah had been helping Robert switch the cards.

While they were there, Kev was very interested in how much the final round got to, and Robert showed him the bag of cash. But later, the bag was gone. And without the money, they will lose everything.

Who stole Robert Sugden’s money in Emmerdale?

Emmerdale viewers are already theorising about who stole the money. And at the moment, Kev’s suspicious behaviour has put him at the top of the suspect list.

While at the pub, Kev was so interested in knowing more about the games he missed. Then when he was leaving, it focused on him saying goodbye, while grabbing his jacket in a very strange way.

Now, obviously that could just be Kev being Kev. But Emmerdale fans are sure that it means he was the one behind it all.

Taking to social media, one fan theorised: “Kev has definitely got that money in his jacket. As he should because Robert needs humbling.”

Another added: “Wouldn’t be surprised if Kev stole the money to help out Nicola or for Lewis. I can almost see Kev telling Robert the money is rightfully his because he’s the one who taught him how to play in prison.”

“You can see Kev wrap his jacket around something at the bar then walk out quick. That must’ve been when he took it,” a third commented.

However, another fan thinks Kev may just be a red herring. They commented: “In a way, I don’t think it’s him. I wouldn’t be surprised if they make it someone else. They’re showing it to us to make us believe it’s him before a twist.”

Emmerdale fans ‘loving’ the poker vibe

Away from the money storyline, many Emmerdale fans have just been enjoying the vibe of the episodes recently. Especially because for a while things were quite doom and gloomy.

One fan penned: “I love it when a bunch of characters who don’t usually interact come together. These poker scenes are amazing.”

Another added: “This is the entertaining Emmerdale that I remember. So glad for a break from the darker stuff.”

“I have missed these type of scenes. Amazing episode today,” a third wrote.
