While John refuses to let Mack go, he starts to drug Aaron in Emmerdale
John's spiralling out of controlEmmerdale has aired yet another amazing episode as John Sugden continues to hold Mackenzie hostage – and he is about to turn on Aaron.
Last week’s episodes ended with the bombshell that Mackenzie was actually alive. But tonight proved that it was going to be rather difficult for him to get away. Even Lawrence Robb said that he’s not out of the woods just yet.
And as things progress, John is set to get even more out of control – and sets his attention to his husband.
What happened to Mack in Emmerdale tonight?
Mack woke up on an IV drip in an underground bunker, where it was revealed John didn’t smash him on the head with the rock. Instead he broke his ankle so he couldn’t run away.
John pulls his usual story of how he actually wanted to save him. But as it turns out, he’s running out of antibiotics that Mack needs to fight off an infection. And it’s not looking that good.
After revealing that nobody is looking for him, Mack encourages John to tell him everything he has done so he won’t be alone anymore.
Wanting to trust someone, John reveals all to Mack – but conveniently seems to have left out the slurry stuff. Mack plays smart and pretends to be on John’s side, and promised that if he let him go, he would just leave.
But while John headed back to the cottage – where Aaron once again couldn’t see the truth – Mack tried to escape.
When he returned to the bunker, John got close enough that Mack thought he could hit him with a plank of wood. Unfortunately for him, his handcuffs prevented him from reaching that far.
After all that, John told him: “We were doing so well.” And very clearly had no more intention of ever letting him go.
John is about to turn on Aaron
But Emmerdale spoilers for later this week show John actually turns his attention to Aaron.
Clearly sensing that something is holding Aaron back, John becomes determined to make his husband rely on him.
Unbeknownst to Aaron, John spikes his whiskey, and gets him to drink some. And when it very quickly has an effect on him, John is there to be the reliable husband.
However, John heads out to get some wood for a cosy night in, and Aaron helps himself to more. He has no idea the danger he is in…

Last week, viewers raged over the heavyweight boxer's treatment of Emmerdale legend Adam. Adam told how he felt unwell and unable to take part in a trial. David then complained that he didn’t like guys who "didn’t do anything" or that were "useless".
David also told him: "It’d be amazing if you got off your [bleep] and did something."
After huge backlash from viewers at the time, Adam has now shared a statement. In it, he's shared how David "broke" him during their time in camp. So much so that the boxer has issued Adam with an apology since filming ended.

Sharing a picture of himself from the episode that saw him fall ill, Adam said: "Not going to lie, this picture breaks my heart, as I know on the inside what I was dealing with. And truth be told I thought it was all my fault. I now know that’s not the reality…"
He continued: "My time in I’m a Celebrity South Africa was one of the toughest things I’ve ever been through, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Watching it back hasn’t been easy at all.
"There were moments I felt pushed to my absolute limit, and if I’m honest, times I didn’t even recognise myself. Living with arthritis is something I don’t really talk about, as much as I should do. But in there it really took its toll.
"My biggest fight was pretending to put on a brave face and trying to hide the pain! that can be exhausting within itself. There were days my body just didn’t want to keep going, but I did."

'I wanted to quit'
Adam then took some responsibility for how he acted. He said: "I won’t sit here and say I handled everything perfectly, because I didn’t. I wish I spoke up for myself sooner. I wish I stood my ground instead of trying to keep the peace. But I’ve learned that being kind doesn’t mean being weak, and sometimes it takes going through tough moments to find your voice.
"Since coming out, I’ve taken time to process everything, and I’m in a much better place now. I let go of the anger, had the conversations I needed to have, and chose peace."
He continued: "What I’m most proud of, is at times like this I wanted to walk, I wanted to quit but I didn’t. Even when I wanted to walk away, even when it felt like too much, I never give up! And that means everything to me."

David's apology
Adam then revealed that David has said sorry for how he treated him during I'm A Celebrity South Africa.
"He broke me in there, he pushed me to my limits, and I’ve told David this and he’s apologised and that’s that! I’ve moved on now, am not one to hold a grudge.
"But thank you for all your lovely messages and all the kind words. We all face people and situations that try to break us, but sometimes those moments are what rebuild you stronger than ever. Be kind."

Adam's famous brothers wade in
Big brother Ryan Thomas was among those commenting on Adam's post. He said: "I would like to say I would stick up for you in there but he's not the guy to pick a fight with! We need to give @tonybellew a call bro."
Twin Scott Thomas was much more angry, though. He said: "I wish I could have been there for you my brother… it makes me so angry that you went through that… but I’m so proud of how you’ve come out of the other side of all this… the strongest you’ve ever been and on an incredible journey…standing in your power."
Adam's Emmerdale co-star Danny Miller added: "You’re a beautiful man and those who really know you know what you bring to their lives. Love and laughter, you’ve handled yourself incredibly as always! Love you brother."
Campmate Ashley Roberts also commented. She said: "Adam bless you. You have such a big heart. I’m sorry you struggled in there."
Fellow I'm A Celebrity South Africa star Scarlett Moffatt added: "Awwww Adam I bloody love you. You’re one of the kindest men I know, if my little boy ends up being as caring as you then I know I’ll have done a good job a mam. Lots of love."
