Kim and Robert form a dangerous alliance – but Emmerdale spoilers reveal Ross is already is about to uncover the truth
Secrets don't stay secrets for longEmmerdale fans got a shock during Wednesday’s episode (July 2) when it was revealed that Robert Sugden has teamed up with Kim Tate – but how long can they keep this alliance a secret?
During Tuesday’s episode (July 1), drug dealer Ray was introduced to the fold. He was interested in buying Lewis’s stash of marijuana – in a deal set up by Mackenzie.
However, when Lewis refused, Ross Barton insisted Mack back out of the deal. But they later discovered the barn was empty and someone had taken their entire stash. Ray was obviously a suspect, but they didn’t realise Robert had been the one to sell it to him.
In tonight’s episode, another twist was aired when Robert was shown forming a dangerous alliance with Kim, but how long until Ross is on their trail?

Robert and Kim team up
With the money from the drugs deal burning a hole in Robert’s pocket, he headed to the Butlers Farm with a proposition for Moira.
Knowing she is strapped for cash since the slurry tank disaster, he offered to buy back his family’s old land. He claimed that being back working at the farm has brought back lots of memories of his family’s time there. He said he thought he might ‘put up a barn, buy a few cows, start small.’
Robert said he had an old investment he could cash in and showed Moira how much he could afford. Despite the offer being lower than what Moira believes the fields to be worth, she decided to accept the offer as she could see ‘how much it means’ to Robert.
If viewers thought Robert was being a sentimental chap, they needn’t have worried. It was soon revealed that the scheming Robert Sugden of old is still there.
As Kim Tate opened a bottle of champagne at Home Farm, her guest was shown to be Robert. Robert revelled in a successful day’s work as he relayed to Kim that he had told Moira a lot of rubbish about wanting to live up to the Sugden name and his dad’s legacy.
Kim then informed Robert: “You do know I’m only willing to pay the market rate for that field?” Robert insisted that would still give him a healthy profit.
As Kim praised Robert, telling him she was impressed with how he operates, Robert smiled as he said he is only just getting warmed up. What else does he have planned?

Will Ross discover what Robert is up to?
So far, Robert has avoided suspicion over the missing weed, but with his new found cashflow, it seems it’ll only be a matter of time…
In spoilers for next week, Victoria is delighted when Robert informs her that he has bought back Annie’s field. Victoria originally sold the fields in 2022 to help David Metcalfe out.
Ross is soon suspicious of Robert, and although Robert avoids discussing his plans for the land, Ross soon confronts him.
Finding him outside The Hide, Ross asks Robert about the missing weed. Robert threatens to cancel the land deal and thus take away the cash injection Moira desperately needs. Ross is forced to back down temporarily, but we don’t see him letting this one go.
Why Lorraine and Loose Women are not on ITV today and when they'll be back on air
Usually, every weekday, ITV viewers can rely on the structure of their daytime shows staying the same. However, since the start of this year, changes have been afoot, with runtimes slashed and shows disappearing from the schedule altogether.
Today, as was the case last week, viewers will find that Lorraine and Loose Women are not on air. And, instead, different programmes will air in their place. So, why is this the case? And when will the shows be back on? Here's everything you need to know.

Why Lorraine and Loose Women are not on today
Since the start of 2026 Lorraine Kelly's show was changed to be 30 minutes long. However, in a surprising shake-up, it won't air at all this week. Instead, Good Morning Britain, which starts at 6am, will once again be extended for the five days, lasting until 10am.
Then, This Morning will air at its usual time, with no extensions. But instead of swapping over to the Loose Women ladies, ITV will be airing something entirely different.
Instead of Loose Women, the channel will be showing the news, then repeats of fan-favourite game shows.
The shake-up started at the beginning of March, when ITV showed coverage of the annual racing event, the Cheltenham Festival. However, the changes actually lasted a lot longer than just the duration of Cheltenham…

When will the ITV shows be back on air?
Unfortunately for dedicated fans, Lorraine and Loose Women aren't just pulled from the schedule today, they will actually be off-air all week, and well into next month, too.
This was confirmed by Kaye Adams at the end of the final Loose Women on March 6. She told viewers: "We will be back next month. Until then, take care, have a fabulous weekend and Easter, and we’ll see you very soon!"
Both the ITV shows have been affected by the huge shake-up that began at the start of this year, as ITV made its bloodbath cuts.
Loose Women will now only air for 30 weeks of the year, and the live audience has been scrapped.
