Lewis made Emmerdale history earlier this year by becoming the soap’s first neurodivergent character. Ross’s younger brother has autism, which affects the way he interacts with the world. Lewis is sensitive to loud noise and busy environments, which can make him feel overwhelmed.
But one person who doesn’t like to keep things calm is Kammy. The mechanic is always up for a party, and next week he makes plans to christen new lads’ pad Dale View.
Kammy wants to invite the locals round for drinks, but Lewis isn’t keen on having a lot of strangers invading his safe space. But with Kammy set on the plan, Lewis feels forced to go along with it.
Next day, the celebrations are in full swing at Dale View and Lewis is struggling to keep a lid on his anxiety. In an effort to remain in control he mans the drinks station, but it’s clear the occasion is making him feel very on edge.
Lewis and Kev start an unlikely bromance
After a few hours of letting loose, the guests decide to carry on the party at the pub.
Distressed Lewis stays behind to clear up the mess, but is interrupted when kooky Kev returns to Dale View to retrieve his jacket.
The two men get talking and viewers will see an unlikely friendship starts to blossom.

Lewis’s stress levels continue to soar as he tries to get through his ‘to-do’ list. In front of others, he’s masking and making out like everything is okay, but once alone Lewis’s cheery facade crumbles.
Things soon come to a head when Lewis is confronted by a long queue of customers at Cafe Main Street. Dysregulated and unable to cope, Lewis runs away and tries to make it back home before he experiences a panic attack in public.
Realising that something is wrong, Nicola goes to check on Lewis later and finds him hunched up on the floor. Will he let Nicola help him?
