Paddy’s fears for Bear grow as he goes behind his dad’s back to get help

Bear is causing Paddy concern in Emmerdale spoilers
Bear increasingly erratic behaviour is causing his loved ones a lot of worry. He’s already left little Eve unattended at home with his sleeping pills, and Paddy was horrified to witness his father assaulting mechanic Kammy Hadiq.
When Paddy confronted Bear, the confused OAP didn’t seem to know what he was talking about. Things took another troubling turn when Bear suddenly made off on his motorbike and Paddy had no idea where he’d disappeared to.
Following that latest scare, Paddy shares his worries over Bear with Gabby. Having seen her late dad Ashley battle dementia, Gabby recognises the early symptoms of the condition. She tells Paddy it would a good idea to get Bear to the doctors pronto to undergo a dementia test.

Paddy’s worries for Bear continue to mount
Hearing Gabby utter the word ‘dementia’ makes Paddy confront his worst fears. He knows there’s something really wrong with Bear’s health, and this could explain all of his recent actions.
Paddy tries to gently broach the subject with his dad, but it doesn’t go down well. Bear is annoyed that Paddy would even think he needs a check up at the doctors and shuts his son down, refusing to discuss the matter any further.
But Bear’s gruff response leaves poor Paddy more worried than ever. What will he do?

As Paddy frets over how to help Bear, Gabby has another suggestion. She tells Paddy he could do an online dementia test on Bear, without his dad even having to know.
Later in the pub, Paddy ropes in best mate Marlon to help him complete the questionnaire. The pair join Bear for a beer in the bar, but it soon becomes clear that conducting a dementia test on an unwitting patient is going to be a lot trickier than they thought.
Will Paddy and Marlon be able to complete the test without Bear finding out? Or will he realise what they’re up to?
