Emmerdale spoilers reveal Caleb’s desperate attempt to save Ruby as she confesses to police

Can Caleb get to Ruby in time?

Tonight’s episode of Emmerdale (Monday, June 2) saw Ruby Miligan make a shocking confession to her murder of Anthony. Following the discovery of a body in the lake, those involved in Anthony’s death were on edge.

Convinced that it was her dead dad, Ruby was terrified that her actions would put Caleb in jail. Determined to save everyone else involved in covering up his murder, she came to a momentous decision.

As Cain and Chas attempted to calm panicking Ruby down, she decided to spill her guts to the police. Caleb tried to talk her out of it, working out a plan to flee to Ireland before the police could collar them both, but Ruby wouldn’t be talked out of it.

She seemingly went along with Caleb’s plan for a while but, once he’d gone to bed, left a note and snuck out of the house. She then arrived at the police station, where she admitted to killing Anthony.

Is there any way back from this one?

Meanwhile, at the station, Ruby reveals the years of horrific abuse her father subjected her to. Just then, Caleb’s lawyer arrives, halting the interview. Back at home, Chas hides Ruby’s guilty note. Can Caleb get Ruby out of trouble?

Elsewhere, the situation is turned on its head, when the police learn that the body is in fact Nate’s. As they break the news to Tracy, she and Cain are blindsided by news of Cain’s death. And, with Cain beating up Nate prior to his disappearance, it’s not long before he’s facing some tough questions.

Hauled down the station, Cain begins to crack under pressure. Back in the village, Chas and Tracy both wonder whether he could have killed his son.
