Gogglebox star Ken Harwood dies aged 77 as Channel 4 show to air tribute tonight
He passed away last week, surrounded by his family, it's reported
Gogglebox star Ken Harwood has died, it has been announced, following a short illness.
Ken – who appeared on the show between 2020 and 2022 – was 77. He died last week.

The former postmaster, from County Durham, was part of the cast of the hit show alongside wife Anne for five series. They first appeared in series 15 and left after series 19. The couple were married for 55 years.
Production company Studio Lambert today (May 15) confirmed Ken’s death.
In a statement, a spokesperson said: “He will be dearly missed by his wife Anne, sons Simon and Ross, daughter-in-law, Elle, grandchildren Freya and Tristram, and all who knew him.”

Channel 4 tribute confirmed
It’s also been confirmed that a tribute to Ken will air at the end of Gogglebox tonight (May 15). Channel 4 usually airs a black screen with the late cast member’s picture, alongside their dates of birth and death, as the closing credits roll.
According to The Sun, Ken passed away surrounded by his family last week.

“Heartbreaking news,” another also posted, “especially for Anne”. “So sorry to hear this, glad Channel 4 is doing a tribute tonight,” said a third.
“Poor Anne,” another also said, “she will really, really miss him after being married all those years.”
Roses for Anne… and her funny comeback
Ken was devoted to Anne and, on their first show, he presented her with 50 roses – one for every single year they’d been married.
“You have put me to shame now with a card and roses,” Anne quipped, before then adding: “And I got you nothing. But you have me and that’s all you need.”
