What is Celebrity Sabotage about?

Celebrity Sabotage will run for six episodes every Saturday with many familiar faces hoping to entertain the nation.

The series will showcase well-known celebrities executing secret sabotage missions aimed at unsuspecting members of the public.

From a concealed headquarters, the Celebrity Saboteurs observe every move, carrying out covert tasks intended to disrupt the contestants’ progress.

The more missions they successfully complete without being caught, the larger the prize pot becomes. However, if a Celebrity Saboteur is discovered, the contestant faces a difficult choice.

Each episode begins with contestants arriving under the impression that they are taking part in a brand-new ITV show, hosted by a familiar celebrity.

The show formats cover a wide range, including cooking contests, relationship experiments, business-style challenges, and even murder-mystery games.

Joel Dommett’s health scare before filming

At the show’s press event, the cast shared several behind-the-scenes stories, one of which included a health scare involving Joel.

Prior to filming, Joel participated in the 2025 London Marathon, aiming for a sub-three-hour finish while raising money for Brain Tumour Support.

At the time, Joel told fans on Instagram: “I fainted at mile 17 – don’t really remember much but I woke up in an ambulance.”

Despite passing out, Joel still turned up to work immediately after. However, his co-stars had to help him push through.

While discussing the group dynamic off-camera, Judi explained everyone “checked in on each other”, which reminded GK that Joel arrived straight after the marathon.

“You know when Joel passed out during the marathon? He literally turned up afterwards,” Sam explained.

Judi added: “This man passed out. He was talking about it, and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, you did well!’ But, no. He passed out. He woke up in an ambulance, and then went and ran and finished the marathon.”

Joel then added context to his situation. “I’ll be honest, I wasn’t funny that day!” he joked. Judi insisted he arrived at work looking “very pale” and was trying to “hold him up” on set.

The next day, Joel remembered struggling when having to embark on tasks that required him to move quickly.
