As Kev is revealed to be Robert's husband, Emmerdale spoilers show Robert has a tough choice to make
Robert faces a tough decisionEmmerdale just aired a massive twist to Robron’s love story, as mysterious Kev was revealed to be Robert Sugden’s husband.
Mysterious Kev made his arrival in the village tonight (September 29) as Chris Coghill made his Emmerdale debut.
But now that we know he is Robert’s husband, where does this leave him and Aaron?
Kev is Robert Sugden’s husband
Robert was a happy man at the start of the episode, planning to meet Aaron in the pub for a drink. But that all changed when Kev arrived on day release from prison.
Very quickly we realised that Kev and Robert had some form of relationship while inside. But Kev then dropped the bomb that they are actually married!
Kev could sense that Robert was a bit off with him, and even jokingly asked if he had met someone else – which Robert tried to brush off. But then Kev admitted he only has six months left to live, flooring Robert.
But when alone with Victoria, Robert was forced to tell her what happened in prison. He admitted he was beaten up for being bi-sexual and posh, and it was Kev who managed to protect him, and thus he owes him his life – literally.
Victoria was shocked that Robert didn’t have any intention of divorcing Kev, as he explained that his gangster husband has quite a lot of money. And when he dies – he will get it all.
However, Victoria made it clear that she’s not okay with lying to Aaron about everything. And in the end, she told Robert that either he tells Aaron the truth – or she will.
But with things between himself and Aaron finally getting good again, is Robert about to risk ruining it all?
Does Robert tell Aaron the truth?
New Emmerdale spoilers for this week now show that Robert will face his own dilemma over the Kev situation.
Later this week, Victoria is angry with Robert for his willingness to hide the truth from Aaron and continues to tell him that she will make sure Aaron knows what is going on.
But Robert’s in a predicament as he is torn between breaking Aaron’s heart or the heart of his dying husband. And things get even worse when Victoria spots a visiting order from Kev.
It’s confirmed that Robert does go to the prison to see his husband. But it remains to be seen whether or not Robert can find the courage to break Kev’s heart.
Actor Chris Coghill said about his role: “I’m thoroughly enjoying my time on Emmerdale, so far. It’s an absolutely lovely place to work. The village is stunning and everyone is genuinely lovely.”
But just how will Kev react if Robert decides to break-up with him. And with fans already thinking Kev might be the one to get rid of John Sugden, he may not take the news about Aaron so well.
