Location, Location, Location viewers have hit out at the latest episode of the Channel 4 property show, branding it a “waste of time”.

Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer were seen meeting a grandmother who had been debating a house move for five years.

They also hoped to help a “nervous” couple buy their first home for themselves and their pet tortoise.

But by the time the credits rolled, some fans were left asking why the episode had even aired.

Location, Location, Location heads to Berkshire

The most recent episode of Location, Location, Location aired on Channel 4 last night (Wednesday October 21, 2026). Kirstie and Phil were in Berkshire, where they met grandmother Sharon, and soon-to-be-engaged Becca and Phill.

Sharon had been searching for a new house for five years, but nothing had fit the bill. Becca and Phill had also struggled to find a two-bed starter home.

But it quickly became apparent that Kirstie and Phil had a big struggle on their hands. Phil was paired with Becca and Phill, who he described as “nervous first time buyers”. They had been “consistently” outbid on homes they’d set their sights on.

Speaking about Sharon, Kirstie said: “My stylish single lady has a search that’s got out of control. And something needs to change.”

Becca and Phill were first up. They were desperate to live in Spencer’s Wood, a village close to Reading, with a £380,000 budget. They wanted two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a garden.

But nothing fit the bill.

Primary school teacher Sharon hoped Kirstie could find her a house. She had been looking for five years but nothing had matched up to her current house.

“I have an emotional attachment to this house,” Sharon said. “It is where I came to with my daughter when my relationship with my partner broke down. As soon as I open that door, I’m met with a sense of peace and calmness.”

Kirstie looked in both north and west of Reading town centre. Sharon had already seen one of the houses when it was up for sale the previous time – four years earlier.

Sharon’s budget was £375,000 and she’d already accepted an offer on her house. But again, nothing was good enough.

Kirstie and Phil have no luck

Becca and Phill dismissed the first and second houses Phil showed them for being “too small”. The third was eventually ruled out because they didn’t like the area. A fourth was struck off because it didn’t have a downstairs toilet.

Phil warned the couple: “To get what you want in the areas you want to be in probably isn’t possible at your budget.”

Sharon, meanwhile, was taken to west Reading. Nothing ticked her boxes either. “She’s been thinking about moving for five years and she still hasn’t moved,” Kirstie said.

Kirstie asked Sharon: “Can you afford the character you want in the area you want to live in?” Sharon agreed that she couldn’t.

In the end, Kirstie decided to visit Sharon’s house to see what “was making her decision so hard”. They then discussed changing the layout so she could stay put.

By the end of the show, neither Sharon nor Phill and Becca had offered on anything. And viewers were left feeling very frustrated.
