It’s been a huge week for Emmerdale, as the aftermath of Jimmy and Dawn’s death continue. But tonight (September 2) may just be the most dramatic episode since the crash itself.
For months we have wondered what would bring Sadie King back to the village. And now, we finally have our answers. But it’s bad news for Nicola.
Sadie King returns in Emmerdale
Mirroring her very first arrival in the village, Sadie King landed in Emmerdale by helicopter, dressed in black. From the very second she was on our screen she looked like a grieving widow. But there was just one problem with that – Jimmy was married to Nicola.
Everyone was absolutely shocked by Sadie’s return, and they all made sure to make their hatred known. Old grudges were definitely not forgiven, as it wasn’t long before Sadie came face-to-face with her enemies.
While some characters had never met Sadie before, the others were quick to fill them in. And Robert even wasted no time in speaking to his former flame – who didn’t even recognise him.
Not only was Nicola shocked to be introduced to her husband’s ex-wife, she was left absolutely devastated when Sadie revealed why she had really returned.
Nicola left devastated by Sadie’s bombshell
When Nicola finally got the chance to ask Sadie why she was back, she revealed a shocking bombshell – that she and Jimmy have been in a relationship for the last three years.
Absolutely stunned, Nicola refused to believe it was true. Mere moments before Jimmy’s death he gave his wife an eternity ring and told her about their vow renewal. So how could he do this to her?
Sadie remained adamant however, that she was in fact telling the truth. She revealed that Jimmy told her he and Nicola had split years prior.
Everyone in the village couldn’t believe it, while some started suspecting that it was actually the truth, now grappling with the fact that Jimmy may not be the person they all thought he was.
But the big question is – is Sadie telling the truth? Or is there more to come? Emmerdale viewers will just have to wait and see, but we were all absolutely shocked at tonight’s episode.
