The TikTok star, 26, wants to give the nation an insight into her life as a half-Romani gypsy and half-gorger (no-gypsy).
Trewley is keen to forge her own career as an influencer, turning her back on Traveller traditions.
But although viewers have found themselves already sucked into Trewley and her family’s antics, they have spotted one big issue.
The fact Trewley walks the streets without any shoes on could threaten to make them switch off.

Trewley-Precious is seen outdoors without shoes within the first few minutes of The Secret Lives of Gypsy Wives. She heads out to the local shop on her Essex council estate after turning her nose up at mum Tina’s breakfast.
Wearing bright pink pyjamas with a red heart print, Trewley walks barefoot down the road.
Later, she storms out of the house after Tina reacts to her getting a belly button piercing. Tina isn’t happy, so Trewley-Precious walks out – again without any shoes on.
Viewers were horrified, especially as Tina then explained her morning routine. The mum-of-five told the cameras how she gets up at 4am every day to mop the floors.
“I get up between 3 and 4am, take the bins out and then I clean all the house,” she said. “I wash all the floors. You would think it would look cleaner because I do it every day. But it just doesn’t.”
Writing online, the verdict is in. One viewer said on X: “It’s no wonder her poor mother is cleaning from 4am! Those feet! so disrespectful walking all that dirt into anybody’s home!!”
Another posted a green-faced emoji, added: “I’m astounded that Trewley walks down the streets in bare feet and then walks all of the street filth on her bare feet into her Mum’s house.”
And a third asked: “This is satire right? This Trewley Precious person cannot be serious. Walking around the estate with her filthy bare feet, shouting everywhere like banshee.”
Viewers ‘can’t switch off’ as Trewley-Precious’ show launches
The first episode of The Secret Lives of Gypsy Wives aired on Monday night (July 20, 2026) on Channel 4. But all six episodes in the series are now available to stream on the broadcaster’s website.
And it is a good job too, as viewers have already found themselves binging it. Some have said they are already so hooked they have almost completed the entire series overnight.
“Absolutely brilliant can’t stop watching it!!!” said one fan on TVGuide’s Facebook page. Someone else admitted: “It’s my new guilty pleasure prog!”
Agreeing, another viewer confessed: “Hooked! Such a lovely family x I had to carry on watching once watched the first one!”
“I’m on episode 4 and I’ll be so sad when I finish,” a fourth fan wrote.
Trewley could be heading for a second series… if only she puts some shoes on!
