Strictly Come Dancing 2026 fans were left in tears as Dianne Buswell and Will Best broke down in tears during an emotional VT last night (Saturday, October 17).

Their emotional chat took place just days after Will and fiancée Tobi Rose welcomed their baby boy, Sonny, into the world. Dianne welcomed her son, Bowden, back in March.

In their VT ahead of their jive last night, Will revealed to Dianne that he had become a dad.

Growing emotional, Dianne admitted the news was going to make her cry.

Later, the duo took a seat at a park bench to discuss parenthood.

“Seeing the way you’ve been… I’m going to get emotional,” Will told Dianne. Growing tearful, he continued, saying, “You’re inspirational. You are doing all of this, and you’ve got a baby, and you are clearly the most amazing mum.

“So, I want to try and learn from you.”

Dianne was visibly moved by Will’s words as she began to cry too.

“You’re going to be the most amazing dad, and all I can say is we’re going to do it together,” Dianne said.

Emma Willis takes cheeky swipe at Will

Before the VT, Emma Willis poked fun at Will following the birth of his baby boy.

Announcing the news of Sonny’s birth, Emma and the judges revealed they’d got some little gifts for him.

One gift was a pair of dancing shoes, and another – this one from Craig Revel Horwood – was a tiny paddle with a score of 1 on it.

Emma then pulled out a tiny violin and said: “I got Will this teeny tiny violin just in case he ever complains about how tired he is after it was his fiancé who gave birth.”

Fans were in stitches. “The tiny violin is sending me,” one said. “Oh my god, Emma with the tiny violin LFG feminism,” another wrote.

Will and Dianne ended the night in third place on the leaderboard with a score of 31 points.
