Ollie McNulty portrays young offender Peter Palmerston in Time series 3, and it’s his very first acting role. The teenager was studying mechanical engineering at university until he made the bold decision to drop out to pursue acting.
Talking about the decision to Country and Townhouse Magazine, he said: “I always believed in myself. But it was hard to tell people that I was dropping out because there was no proof that I was gonna get anywhere at that point. It came with a lot of difficult decisions. But that stress just reminded me that I had no choice but to make it work at this point. I’d already taken the plunge.”
Born in Bolton, Lancashire, Ollie is 18 years of age.

Time viewers are convinced that young actor Ollie McNulty is the son of TV star Matthew McNulty. But are they right?
While Ollie McNulty has not publicly address having Matthew as his dad, there are clues – not least the fact they have the same surname. Both men are from Bolton, and are represented by the same agent Ellie Martin-Sperry.
Matthew McNulty, 43, has three children with wife Katie McNulty, his high school sweetheart. She’s the founder of social app Huddle Up.
The couple share three children, two sons named Ellis and Oliver, and a daughter. So, after a big of light sleuthing, we’re pretty certain that Ollie McNulty IS the son of Matthew. He’s the right age, has the same name, same agent, and lives in the same area… Oh, and they also look a LOT alike!
Who is Matthew McNulty?
Matthew McNulty is an actor of more than two decades. He made his very first TV appearance playing Dominic Skelton in an episode of Emmerdale in 2001. He subsequently played big roles in Five Days, Lark Rise to Candleford, Single-Handed, The Syndicate and Misfits. Other notable roles were in The Paradise, The Mill, The Musketeers, The Bay and Domina.
This year, Matthew played Xav Palmer in After the Flood series 2. He will play Neil in the upcoming ITV drama Adultery, coming to our screens on Sunday, October 25.
