In tonight’s episode of Coronation Street (Friday, May 22), Tyrone failed to tell the police the truth about spotting Summer on the night of Theo’s death.

Summer hoped that Tyrone would be a key witness and help prove that she didn’t kill Theo. But, her plan sadly failed.

But, with Tyrone acting rather suspiciously, fans reckon they’ve ‘worked out’ the sinister reason why.

Tyrone fails to be Summer’s key witness in Coronation Street

Summer was left terrified in Weatherfield as DS Connor-Swain questioned her again over Theo Silverton’s death. Lisa Swain pushed Summer to explain where she had been that night and why she had lied about not seeing Theo before he died. Summer admitted she hid the truth because she knew it made her look guilty, but insisted she was innocent.

When Lisa brought up Summer’s brooch, she explained it must have fallen off when Theo grabbed her during their confrontation, which was how his blood ended up on it. Despite the evidence stacking up against her, Summer maintained that Theo was still alive when she fled the flat.

Later, Summer remembered Tyrone Dobbs seeing her on the Street that night after she went back for her smashed phone. But when Lisa questioned Tyrone, he denied leaving the wedding. A flashback then confirmed Summer was telling the truth, leaving viewers wondering if she can still prove her innocence.

Coronation Street fans ‘work out’ reason why Tyrone lied to the police

A flashback proved that Tyrone did in fact see Summer on the night of Theo’s death, even though he denied it to DS Connor-Swain.

Coronation Street fans have now connected the dots and have ‘worked out’ that Tyrone must’ve been the one behind Carl Webster’s car crush attack that night. By telling Lisa that he was at the wedding all night, it would remove him as a potential suspect for Carl’s attack should it ever come out.

Viewers originally believed that Ronnie Bailey was responsible, but could Tyrone be the true culprit?

One person on social media wrote: “So after hearing Summer’s been charged , Tyrone will have to come forward and admit he was the one to let the car down on Carl, and I think it might be Gary and Sarah’s turn to explain there whereabouts next week.”

Another person shared: “Tyrone is lying. Collaborating Summer’s story would mean implicating himself in the attack on Carl.”

A third viewer wondered: “What is Tyrone hiding? Think he is the one that dropped the car on Carl that night.”

But, is this what Tyrone’s hiding?
