Tyrone was finally honest with Fiz

In tonight’s episode of Coronation Street (Monday, June 8), Tyrone Dobbs decided to open up Fiz about Carl Webster’s car crush.

Fiz was fuming with Tyrone for landing Summer in trouble when he could’ve helped her avoid prison.

But, while Tyrone’s now had a change for heart and has gone to save the imprisoned young woman, he might soon land behind bars himself.

Tyrone’s confession in Coronation Street

Tyrone was feeling really guilty today after hearing all about Summer’s hospital stay and how she’d turned off her insulin pump to make herself sick just to get out of prison.

At home, Tyrone then fessed up to Fiz. He revealed that he had seen Summer on the Street on the night of Theo’s death and could’ve helped back up her story. Summer was in prison because of his lie.

When Fiz asked why he’d lied, Tyrone then admitted that he could go to prison himself if he’d said he was away from Carla and Lisa’s wedding that night. He’d entered the garage and had tried to capture a video of Carl tampering with the brakes on Kevin’s car. He then accidentally knocked the car jack and caused the car crush. Ronnie then dealt with taking Carl to the hospital while he scarpered back to the wedding.

However, Tyrone was certain that Carl had remembered who hurt him. And, he was right. Doing everything he could to stay out of prison though, Tyrone then blackmailed Carl. He had the footage of him in the garage. It showed that the crush was an accident. But, it also showed that Carl was purposely setting out to hurt Kevin and even possibly kill him. With this, he’d seemingly bought his silence.

At the end of the episode, Tyrone and Fiz then made their way to the police station as Ty informed Gary of his latest memory. He’d suddenly remembered that he did see Summer on the murder night. How convenient.

Huge ‘hint’ that Tyrone could be heading for prison

Tyrone’s playing a dangerous game by telling the police that he did see Summer after all. Not only is he backtracking from what he originally told them, but he’s also telling the police that he was on the Street at some point on the night of Theo’s death. And, not at the wedding all night.

With Carl now knowing that Tyrone was responsible for the car crush, if he was to ever go to the police about it, Tyrone would no longer have a cover story. And, all it would take would be for Carl to get hold of Tyrone’s video and delete it, for Tyrone to be in real trouble while Carl would be off the hook.

But, was Tyrone’s decision to protect Summer and blackmail Carl tonight a huge ‘hint’ that he could be facing time in jail for manslaughter?

Later this week, Fiz and Tyrone face a hard decision as a couple as they discuss what to do with the car crush footage. Will they do the right thing and hand it over to the police? And, what would that mean for Tyrone’s freedom?

Strictly star Amy Dowden admits it 'was short and sweet' in emotional It Takes Two interview

Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden appeared to get teary-eyed on It Takes Two this evening (October 6) as she spoke about her early exit from the show.

Last weekend, the first star was eliminated from the dance show, and unfortunately for Amy and partner Thomas Skinner, their time was up. While many fans thought it was the right decision, they all wanted more for Amy Dowden.

Amy has had a tough few years after her cancer battle, and having to pull out of Strictly Come Dancing last year due to injury. Everyone was excited to see her make her return, and now she has left after just two weeks.

Amy Dowden emotional on Strictly It Takes Two

Strictly favourite Amy Dowden appeared to get teary-eyed during her and Thomas’ exit interview with It Takes Two host Janette Manrara – who was covering tonight’s episode as Fleur East was at a wedding.

As the pair appeared on the sofa, they were quizzed on all things to do with their Strictly exit, including how they both felt.

And it seems Amy was pretty upset that the pair have gone. When Janette asked the dancing pro what she will miss about working with Thomas, Amy appeared to get emotional.

She revealed: “It was his work ethic. But also the laughs in the studio. Just getting to know Tom. It was a short but sweet time.”

Amy also praised Tom for his learning abilities, reminding everyone he had never danced before.

She admitted: “I was so impressed. An absolute beginner. In terms of the entertainment world, you are not an actor or performer. I was so proud of you. And the development from the first day learning to get on the dance floor. You worked so hard, and it was so much fun.”

Viewers were left upset watching Amy get emotional on the sofa, wishing she was able to stay on the show longer.

One viewer penned: “Hopefully they will bring Amy back for the Christmas special this year. I will miss her dancing with a partner for the rest of this series. I wish she was given a better celebrity.”

Another added: “I am absolutely devastated for Amy. But don’t worry everyone, 2026 will be her year.”

“I feel so sorry for Amy Dowden,” a third fan commented.

Thomas Skinner reveals his family are ‘gutted’ he is out

During their interview, Thomas – who called Amy his “friend for life” – also opened up on how he feels about getting eliminated on the first vote off, and even gave an insight into his family’s reactions.

When Janette asked him how those at home are feeling that he has gone he joked that he hasn’t “told them yet” before giving a real answer.

He said: “They are gutted. They are. But they love Amy. They were all watching on Saturday night and last night. They are sad. But I will obviously carry on dancing.”

As for how he enjoyed his time on the dance competition, Thomas admitted: “I loved it. It was a lovely night. I know I am not one of the best but we had such a laugh.”
