Where the cast of Virgin Island season 1 are now: Who’s dating, who’s done the deed and who’s still a virgin
As three stars revisit the island and share a life update…
Virgin Island returns for a second season tonight (April 27), and a year on from its debut on Channel 4, the original cast’s lives now look very different following their time at the Croatian retreat.
Some have fallen in love, one is expecting a baby and others are still navigating dating slowly, all thanks to the Channel 4 team of experts.
So, as we meet the new virgins taking part in season 2 of Virgin Island, here’s a full update on what life looks like now for the OG stars of the show…
Holly: In a relationship and expecting a baby
Holly has had the biggest life shift of all. She is now in a relationship with boyfriend David and pregnant with her first child. After the show, she confirmed she did lose her virginity, telling Cosmopolitan: “It wasn’t perfect… but I don’t regret it.”
Reflecting on how quickly her life changed, she also said: “I honestly didn’t expect everything to move this fast after filming.”
She’s also spoken warmly about the show’s impact on her confidence, adding: “I feel like I understand myself so much more now.”

Dave: From Virgin Island to a real-world relationship
Dave was the only contestant to have sex during filming – and he’s continued progressing romantically since.
He was in a relationship with a girl he met on Hinge but it’s unclear if they’re still together. At the time, he said: “I never would have been able to talk to her without this show.”
Speaking in a clip shared last week as he returned to Virgin Island, Dave shared a love life update.
“I was desperate before the show and I was getting in any relationship I could before the show. I’ve learnt to not force it with someone I’m not happy with. I have had relationships with amazing people and I never would have had them without the show.”

Taylor: Dating, out and still a virgin
Taylor has had one of the most transformative journeys emotionally – coming out as gay after the show.
She has dated since filming – including a brief dalliance with Holly – but isn’t in a relationship. She put it simply: “Despite my best efforts, I haven’t met the right person yet.”
On intimacy and dating expectations, she added: “If someone can’t even look me in the eye, it’s not going to work.”
And on her current status, she’s been refreshingly honest: “I’m still a virgin – and I’m fine with that. Hopefully one day I will pop this cherry!”

Ben: Dating, but still taking it slow
Ben has made quiet-but-steady progress since leaving the island.
Ben is yet to have sex but said he’s still updating his date spreadsheet. He explained that he’s added three more women to the document and even shared an “intimate” moment with one.
“We got a little intimate… I kissed her on the lips a bit. It went quite well.” On his growth, he said: “Before the show, I wouldn’t even have got to that point.”
But he’s still not rushing into anything serious: “I’m learning not to force it.”

Emma: Brief romance, then stepping back
Emma briefly dated fellow cast member Viraj after filming, but it didn’t last. She’s been very clear about her current mindset: “I’m not in the right mindset for a relationship.”
She’s explored intimacy but is still taking things slowly, saying: “I’ve learned I need to feel safe first, not pressured.”
Emma now lives in New Zealand, revealing: “I came to New Zealand to heal and to figure out who I really am.”
She added: “I’ve had a couple of other situations since the show. Nothing serious. But I’m definitely less afraid now. I’m not rushing. I’ve waited this long, right?”

Charlotte: ‘Much happier’ after finding herself
Charlotte didn’t leave the show having had sex, but she did leave with a major personal breakthrough, including an ADHD diagnosis.
She’s spoken about a big emotional shift since filming: “I feel much happier in myself now.”
And when it comes to dating: “I’m more comfortable in romantic situations than I ever was before.”
But she’s not rushing into relationships.

Pia: Opening up emotionally after vaginismus journey
Pia’s storyline was one of the most emotional, particularly around vaginismus. She has since reconnected with a past romantic interest, though it didn’t develop into a relationship.
She explained: “We realised we’re better as friends.” On her personal growth, she added: “I’m learning not to rush myself anymore.”

Tom: Putting himself out there
Tom hasn’t had major headlines but has slowly begun dating. He said: “I’m trying to put myself out there more, even when it feels uncomfortable.”
And on confidence: “That’s probably the biggest change for me.”
However, popping his cherry remains elusive: “I can’t say I’ve put too much of it into practice,” he quipped of what he learnt on the show.

Louise: Moved to New Zealand, but ‘open’ to dating Jason
Jason revealed he asked co-star Louise on a date after filming wrapped. However, she moved to New Zealand before it could happen.
She’s said they’ve “stayed in touch, and are very good friends”.

Jason: Still a virgin, but ‘working on it’
He recently returned to Virgin Island for a revisited show, that aired on YouTube last week.
Sharing an update, he said: “My life now, I am more confident. I can hold a conversation. When the time does come to do the deed I won’t be scared.”
However, he added: “Dating – non-existent right now and still working on it.”
Jason struggled with body confidence during his time on the show, sharing his anxiety over his stretch marks. He added: “But body confidence, I’m wearing short sleeves, I kind of love myself now.”

Virgin Island season 1 cast now – Viraj
Viraj, who works as a personal trainer, has been focusing on travelling and his career since Virgin Island.
He spoke positively about his experience on the show, saying: “The experience changed me. I’ve come out of my shell so much more and I feel way more confident.”
“I feel like I can open myself up very well and that growth, whatever that was that I did on the island, it changed me and I can’t thank the therapists enough for those one-to-one workshops. It changed me massively.”

Virgin Island season 1 cast now – Zac
Since the show, Zac has said he feels more confident but that “the bulk of the practical and physical skills that were explored have eluded me”.
He has largely stayed out of the spotlight following the series airing last year. During the series, his session with surrogate partner Kat Slade was cut short after he told her: “I want to move forward… I want to touch you and be touched by you.”
Kat expressed her discomfort at this comment, pointing out that he seemed preoccupied by the physical side of intimacy.
