This week on the cobbles, a baby was left on Carla Connor and DS Lisa Swain’s doorstep. And, the couple are now looking after little Connie for Rob and Mandy. But, this isn’t the first time Vicky Myers taken up the role of mum, as the Corrie star has a daughter off-screen too. Lisa and Carla are currently looking after baby Connie (Credit: ITV) Baby Connie’s arrival in Coronation Street Chaos arrived on the cobbles this week when Carla Connor opened her front door and discovered an unexpected – and very tiny – visitor waiting outside. The mystery baby quickly led Lisa Swain to track down the little one’s grandmother. She explained she was heading in for a routine operation and desperately needed someone to babysit. Plot twist. The baby turned out to be the daughter of Rob Donovan and Mandy – promoting Carla to Auntie. Not exactly thrilled by the surprise family addition, Carla admitted she didn’t have a clue what to do with a newborn. This was a heartbreak she’d tried to bury ever since. But tiny Connie’s arrival brought all those memories bubbling back to the surface. Determined to help, Lisa stepped in as Carla’s crash-course baby coach. She promised to guide her through nappies, feeds and everything in between. Before long, Carla found herself melting as the cheerful little bundle flashed her a gummy grin. Connie may be new to Weatherfield, but she’s already making quite the impression. Her daughter Meghan Henderson Myers is actually 29 years old, which might come as a surprise to fans who were recently stunned to find out that Vicky herself just turned 50. Vicky, who had Meghan at 20 with her ex husband, recently took to social media to share her best wishes to her daughter on her birthday. On Instagram, she said: “”Happy 29th Birthday Little Miss Myers. a.k.a. Mrs. Henderson. @meghendo25. You are bold. You are brave. You are beautiful. ‘Be the one who catches lightning.’ I love you!” The DS Swain actress has also previously been vocal about her experience raising Meghan as a single mum after her divorce. She’d abandoned her acting career but eventually returned back to acting once more after time away. And, the rest is history.
