Carla Connor and Lisa Swain have been looking after Rob Donovan and Mandy’s baby – Connie. But, away from the cobbles, actress Alison King already has plenty of parenting practice. Lisa Swain then spoke to the baby’s grandmother and found out that she was going in for minor surgery and needed the couple to look after the baby. The baby in question was actually Rob Donovan and Mandy’s baby, making Carla little Connie’s aunt. Carla was reluctant to take in Connie at first, explaining to Lisa that she had no idea how to look after her. She’d put the traumatic experience to the back of her mind but Connie’s arrival resurfaced it. Lisa vowed to show Carla how to look after Connie, with Carla soon starting to bond with the smiley newborn. Their daughter, Daisy Mae Huckett, is 17 years old and is keen to take after her mum and venture into the acting world. Speaking to The Sun in 2024, Alison King revealed that her acting has inspired daughter Daisy to go down the same career path. She said: “It inspires Daisy to follow the path she wants to take, it can be a tricky industry but there’s nothing that Daisy loves more than to go to her acting school on a Saturday.” “She goes to Actor Tribe with Jennifer James (who played Geena Gregory) and Lee Boardman (Jez Quigley) there’s just nothing more inspiring than that.” The acting school Daisy goes to sees her train with two former Corrie stars – Jennifer James and Lee Boardman. Daisy was born on February 11, 2009, with Alison going on to be very private about her family life off-screen.
