Classic Coronation Street Spoilers Share By Kerry Barrett Dec 8 2025 By Kerry Barrett Dec 8 2025 In Classic Coronation Street spoilers for ITV3 this week (December 8th – 12th), teenager Rosie makes a move on teacher John who is definitely old enough to know better, but doesn’t resist temptation. Meanwhile, Jason takes a life-threatening plunge from the builder’s yard balcony, leaving the wedding plans in jeopardy again. While a guilt-stricken David takes shocking action. And Sean goes too far in his efforts to be a dad. These episodes originally aired in October 2007. David’s revenge plan backfires David doesn’t get the response he was hoping for, when instead of ruining the wedding by inviting Todd, it turns out he’s brought the family back together. Jason and Todd even thank him for his efforts! Article Continues Below Read all the latest Spoilers But later, Todd tells Jason that for Sarah’s sake he’s going back to London and won’t be coming to the wedding. His brother is gutted but he understands, and he agrees it’s for the best. Before he goes, Todd visits Sarah. He ends up pouring his heart out to his ex, who’s hostile at first but soon softens. Eventually the old friends make up and Sarah insists he not only stays for the wedding but is best man for Jason, too. David comes up with something more extreme David overhears Bill and Jason talking about him and annoyed to be the focus of gossip, he vows to have his revenge. Later, he lets himself into the builder’s yard determined to make some mischief. He deletes a message off the answerphone, then he fiddles with the railings around the balcony making them dangerous. When Bill and Jason return to the yard, Bill takes a phone call from an irate customer saying they left a message – the one that David deleted. Meanwhile, Jason leans on the balcony railings… Jason is told he’ll recover but he’ll be on crutches for the wedding (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock) Jason’s in danger Later, Jason stands on the balcony chatting to Todd and Becky down on the street below. He’s boasting that Bill’s too old and it’s him who really runs the yard, and he doesn’t realise that Bill’s in earshot. Amused, Bill sneaks up behind Jason wanting to give him a fright. When suddenly the railings give way! Jason plummets from the balcony on to the pavement below. Roy and Hayley rush to help Jason. David has been watching from afar and he’s suddenly full of guilt and phones an ambulance. Sarah’s distraught to see Jason lying unconscious on the ground. Jason’s told that he should make a full recovery but he’ll be on crutches for eight weeks! Sarah’s horrified when she realises that means he won’t be able to walk at their wedding. David’s just relieved that Jason’s alive. Jason points the finger Later, Bill discovers that the railings on the balcony at the yard had been loosened. Suspicious about how that could happen, he tells Jason that David could be behind it. Jason’s shocked but Todd doesn’t believe it. When Jason tells Gail and Sarah how he and Bill reckon David tried to kill him, Gail doesn’t want to believe it. Jason tells her about the time on the factory roof when David pretended to point a gun at her in the garden and said he wished his family were dead. Gail’s horrified and she realises her troubled son is completely out of control. Later, she braces herself and asks David about his threats to kill his family. Predictably, David denies it and says Jason is lying. But Sarah’s so upset by her brother’s behaviour that she cancels her hen night! Gail asks David why he wants to cause other people so much misery. David admits he doesn’t know how to be happy. Worried about what he’ll do next, a desperate Gail makes David promise that he’ll stay away from Sarah’s wedding. Despairing David reaches rock bottom The Platts and the Grimshaws all have Sunday lunch together. Audrey brings the wedding cake with her but the bride and groom are missing from the top. Outside, David listens to the laughter from the lunch. With Darryl’s airgun, he shoots at the plastic bride and groom he’s stolen from the top of the cake. Sarah’s upset when her dad tells her he can’t make it to the wedding. She asks Gail to give her away instead. Later, Sarah finds a letter addressed to Gail on the kitchen table. It’s from David and it says that he’s going to kill himself! Sarah is absolutely sure that the suicide note is a wind-up and David is just trying to ruin her wedding – again. She shoves the letter in her handbag and makes Maria promise to keep it a secret. Maria’s worried, and she can’t shake her concerns when the families all have a drink in the Rovers. Back home, they discover David’s car is missing. Gail’s worried but Sarah’s still convinced it’s all part of David’s plan to spoil her big day. She rips up David’s suicide note and dumps it in the bin, leaving Maria shocked. Fiz is suspicious of John and Sally Fiz is fuming when John offers Sally a lift to work and she accepts. Later she tells John it’s obvious that Sally’s got a crush on him and it’s getting her down. She’s more annoyed when he admits he’s arranged another English lesson with Sally that evening, so they can’t go out. An amused Liam discovers that lovesick Rosie didn’t pass on Maria’s message and hid his mobile phone. He apologises to Maria who pretends it’s no big deal. Liam tells Rosie off for trying to ruin his relationship with Maria before it’s begun. Humiliated, Rosie goes home in tears and she phones in sick the next day. Realising that’s because of him, Liam tells Sally about Rosie’s crush and how he may have been a bit harsh with her. Sally talks to Rosie about her crush on Liam and warns her that he’s too old for her. But when Maria has a go at Rosie for failing to pass on her message, embarrassed Rosie leaves the cafe in tears. He finds Rosie upset and alone and asks her what’s wrong. Rosie pours her heart out to him about Liam and John tells her that she’s an attractive girl. He’s taken by surprise when Rosie kisses him but he kisses her back! Back home later, John hugs Fiz and assures her that he doesn’t fancy Sally. Rosie has the key to Carla’s flat so she arranges to meet there while Carla’s away. Rosie leads John into the bedroom and they have sex for the first time. Later, John and Rosie exchange a lingering look in the street though Sally and Fiz are oblivious to what’s going on under their noses. The next day, Rosie arranges to meet John in the ginnel. She tells him that she’s taking his advice and she’s going back to school. John’s alarmed when she tells him she’s not going back to Oakhill, but going to Weatherfield High instead. John’s panicking about becoming Rosie’s teacher but Rosie’s enjoying the thrill. Kevin and Sally are pleased she’s going back to school. Kevin’s pleased at not having to fork out for Oakhill fees but Sally’s not impressed. John and Rosie are kissing on the sofa in the front room when Sally comes home, but she’s none the wiser when they break apart. John gives Sally another English lesson. Fiz is fed up when Sally accosts John in the Rovers, not realising it’s not Sally she should be worrying about! John is nervous when an indiscreet Rosie puts her hand on his thigh under the table. Maria and Liam get closer Meanwhile, Maria’s disgruntled when she sees Liam kissing another woman. When she asks him about it, Liam explains that the woman is a client and arranges to take Maria out for dinner. With things going well, Liam gives Maria a locket, and she gives him a puppy! Roy and Hayley make a huge decision Roy and Hayley arrive back on the cobbles from their camping trip at the Lakes. They’ve sorted out their differences and have decided to sign up for a charity project in Africa. Roy tells Becky he wants to reach out to Christian and would like her to act as a go-between. Becky’s not sure it’s a good idea but she doesn’t say why. And that becomes clear when Roy goes to find Christian at the record shop. His boss tells him Christian left his job the day after a young woman went in and punched him! Back home, Becky admits it was her who punched Christian. She apologises but insists she doesn’t regret it. There’s more news for the Croppers when Hayley gets a call from the volunteer project offering her and Roy places on the charity trip they applied for. But it means they’d have to leave immediately! Keen to grab the opportunity, Hayley gets permission from Liam to take six months off from the factory and phones the volunteer project back only to find that one of the places has gone and there’s only one left. Hayley’s gutted but Roy’s secretly relieved and he suggests Hayley should take the last place on her own. Hayley eventually agrees. Sean goes too far Violet’s thrilled when she feels her baby kick for the first time. And smitten daddy-to-be Sean admits to Jamie he wants to be more involved when the baby arrives. Which isn’t what they originally agreed. When Sean goes along to the 20-week scan with Violet, she’s concerned when Sean refers to the baby as ‘our child.’ Marcus is furious when Sean tricks him into telling him the sex of Violet’s baby – it’s a boy! Sean’s delighted, but Marcus storms out of the pub. Sean shows Jamie the baby clothes that he’s bought – they’re blue and Jamie realises what Sean’s done.
