With Debbie due up in court later this week, it’s possible that she could end up behind bars. But, could a guilty Carl actually have a change of heart and turn things round at the last minute? Debbie is worried about her future (Credit: ITV) Debbie fears prison in Coronation Street Tonight in Weatherfield, Debbie started to fear the worst. She put plans into place in case she was sent to prison. She gathered the troops and begged Kevin to discuss his feelings with his loved ones so that she didn’t need to worry about him while she was behind bars. And, things were made worse when Carl rocked up and caused a scene after finding out that Debbie had asked Ryan to be in charge of the hotel instead of him. Awks. Later on, back in her flat, Debbie discussed her decision. She explained that Ryan would do a great job and that she didn’t want to tie Carl down. And, besides, she trusted Ryan. Carl then reminded Debbie that it wasn’t her job to take care of him and Kevin. But, Debbie fought back and told him that it was. And, she couldn’t do that behind bars. She was terrified. Her biggest fear was that she would be on her own, ‘locked up in her own head and away from everyone she loves.’ What if her dementia gets worse and she forgets who everyone is while she’s in prison? Carl starts to feel guilty (Credit: ITV) Coronation Street spoilers tease guilty Carl change of heart as Debbie heads to court In Coronation Street spoilers for the rest of the week, Carl’s guilty conscience finally clocks in for work – and it’s working overtime. After overhearing a heartbroken Summer telling Nina that Billy would still be alive if Debbie hadn’t been drink-driving, Carl is hit with a wave of remorse that could knock over the Rovers. Those words ring louder than the factory bell. Things get even messier when Ronnie warns that sending Debbie to prison could fast-forward her dementia. Suddenly, doing the right thing feels less like a moral choice and more like defusing a bomb with a wonky timer. Then comes another wobble. Ronnie panics when Debbie accidentally calls him ‘Ray,’ and his fears are soon shared with Carl. A tense chat later, Debbie is confronted… and promptly legs it. But the biggest shock lands when Carl finally confesses he was behind the wheel that night. Debbie then calmly reveals she’s known all along and has been covering for him as she’s his mum! Carl is left gobsmacked as Debbie lays bare just how much she’s sacrificed. But, as Debbie then heads to court for her verdict, will Carl make a more public confession to save his mum from prison? She planned to call an old mate of his at 6pm but Jodie spoke to Bernard first. When Shona did ring him, Bernard then told her that he hadn't been in touch with their dad in years... Yeah, right! Bernie bumped into Mal again Bernie was shocked to discover that Mal was working on the electrics at Roy's. She then offered to find a cheaper electrician for Roy but was soon filled in on the whole Alice situation. Mal promised Bernie that he'd keep quiet to Dev about their night of drugs and drink. But, will he? George was given a special gift George was gifted an expensive bottle of Cognac from a client and planned to savour the drink with Christina after a nice meal out. Very snazzy. Todd ran out of cash With Theo going out to visit his mum down in Doncaster for the day, he instructed Todd to stay behind. Todd told him that he was down to his last £10 but Theo brushed it off as nothing to worry about. After all, he'd only be gone for a few hours. But, then Todd got the dreaded message that Theo wouldn't be back until the next day as he was staying over at his mum's for the night. Poor Todd looked to be eating dry cereal for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
