She secretly recorded Becky in a hope to gain evidence of her scheming but failed drastically, with Lisa ending up telling both women to go and fight over someone else. But, the war between Becky and Carla isn’t over yet. Becky has a big revenge plot in mind. Carla’s plan didn’t go to… plan (Credit: ITV) Carla and Becky’s showdown in Coronation Street This evening, Carla couldn’t stand to hear all about Becky and Lisa’s Christmas plans at No.6 and turned to a bottle of scotch in the factory. Kit then updated her on Costello and how he’d been planning on retiring just before his attack. He encouraged Carla to continue with their plan against Becky, with Kit then heading off and ‘bumping’ into Becky herself. Instead of passing on the message, Becky visited her instead and confirmed that she’d been intending on winning Lisa back no matter the cost. Unbeknown to Becky, Carla has been recording their conversation and wasn’t actually drunk at all. She then barged into No.6 and played the recording to Lisa and Betsy. But, instead of siding with Carla, Lisa had decided she’d had enough of both women’s petty games. Carla then told Becky that she was ‘stubborn’ and wouldn’t be phased by this setback. Visiting Costello at the hospital, Carla then took out a pad and pen and begged him to help her find evidence that Becky was the one behind his attack. Costello kept saying the words ‘hill’ and ‘rhubarb,’ which really puzzled Carla. Deciding that she was nowhere nearer to bringing down Becky, Carla then told Kit that she was giving up. Spoilers for the next few weeks reveal that she’s set to go even further in her bid to escape Weatherfield with her family. Becky’s laying on the mega-sparkly, stress-free Christmas fantasy for Lisa when things take a saucy detour. One ‘therapeutic’ neck massage later and Becky’s planting a sneaky kiss, leaving Lisa frozen like a half-thawed turkey. While Becky whispers about reigniting their old flame, Lisa’s actually texting Carla, confessing she still loves her. Kit drops by Costello’s room, reveals he’s found the flat, and Becky later slinks out of the en suite thanking him for keeping shtum. Soon Becky’s pushing their Spain escape, phones ditched, plans racing. Meanwhile, Carla never checked into her Lanzarote hotel. Disaster incoming. What else happened in Coronation Street tonight? Carl saved the day Debbie received a devastating phone call from Ronnie which left her feeling really awful. It turned out that the wedding venue she'd booked had actually been arranged for 2027, not 2026. The mix-up meant that Debbie's condition might've seriously worsened by the time she went to say 'I do.' Carl Webster though, jumped in and managed to bag Debbie a venue for just a few weeks time. Phew. Lauren grew suspicious of Will and Megan Once Will had apologised to Lauren for their near-kiss, Lauren became suspicious of how close Will and his coach Megan looked at the precinct. She then confronted Will about it, with Will making up that they were simply discussing training techniques. Yeah right! With Megan worried about Lauren being onto them, she started flirting with Daniel right in front of her. She even went back into his flat, with Lauren keeping a close eye on her through the kebab shop window. Christina 'caught' George George was worried about Todd and missed him, phoning Eileen to get her advice. When Christina was stood up George at lunch, she visited him at work and overheard him talking to Eileen. Believing that he had re-kindled things with his ex, she burst in and made a right fool of herself when she realised that the Eileen at the undertaker's was actually a client. Oops. Joanie's friends let her down Joanie was really chuffed to have made some new friends and to have arranged a Christmas party for them. Sally went to town on conjuring up a Christmas buffet for them and even bought the girls a new frock each. Sadly though, Joanie's friends never turned up and she didn't take it well.
