As Jodie abandons sick father for new family, spoilers confirm her plan to steal Shona’s life

Jodie isn't who Shona thinks she is

In tonight’s episode of Coronation Street (Monday, February 9), Jodie Ramsey abandoned her own ill father in the quest for a happy ending with Shona.

She told him that she now was so close to having everything she ever wanted – and he mustn’t mess it up for her.

Jodie then told her father that she didn’t need him anymore and that she had a whole new family of her own.

Jodie abandoned her dad in Coronation Street

Secrets were practically dripping off Jodie today as she whispered down the phone and skulked about like a woman with something to hide. Naturally, Shona went full amateur detective and tailed her… until Dev barged in, dithering over whether roses or tulips would win Bernie’s heart. Not the time Dev, not the time.

Back on the trail, Shona blocked Jodie’s escape and demanded answers. Jodie spun a story about a date with a mysterious ‘John’ – a name so suspicious even Weatherfield’s ghosts would raise an eyebrow. Smelling a fib, Shona followed her anyway and landed somewhere she didn’t expect – a psychiatric unit, complete with their long-lost dad.

Jodie explained he was confused, fragile and barely recognised her, claiming she’d been left holding everything together after Shona disappeared. The sisters briefly bonded… until dad threw a spanner in the works, warning Shona that Jodie wasn’t to be trusted.

Once Shona left, the mask slipped. Jodie coolly warned her father not to ruin her shiny new family life. She was done with him – and ready to move on. Chilling stuff.

Corrie spoilers see Jodie go after sister Shona Platt’s man

In Coronation Street spoilers for the rest of this week, it seems that having Shona’s tattoo isn’t the only thing of Shona’s Jodie wants. Jodie decides Shona could do with a little detour from sensible living and gives her a firm nudge off the wagon. After a shattered Shona snaps at Lily, David swiftly clocks her burnout and orders her to take the afternoon off. Jodie, swoops in with a far less wholesome plan. Forget visiting Dad – it’s time for a night on the tiles.

At the bistro, things fizz faster than cheap Prosecco. Shona bristles when Carl turns the charm on Jodie, while Jodie flicks on the waterworks like a pro. Drinks keep coming, boundaries keep disappearing, and before long a strategically summoned David is lugging his thoroughly tipsy wife home.

With Shona safely snoring, Jodie slips into cosy mode, persuading David to stay up for a film and a heart-to-heart. By morning, she’s back in domestic goddess mode, whipping up breakfast and playing the perfect guest. But as she ‘tidies,’ David and Shona’s wedding photo ends up smashed. Oops. Or maybe not. Because behind the smiles, Jodie isn’t just breaking glass – she’s quietly testing how much of Shona’s life she can shatter without anyone noticing.

What else happened in Coronation Street tonight?

Bernie filled Dev in

At work at Roy's Rolls, Bernie confessed to Gemma that she was in a sticky situation. The guy who she'd done drugs with and (sort of) kissed, was now doing the electrics at Roy's.

Gemma then urged Bernie to tell Dev the truth if she was being honest about 'nothing happening.' But... well, Dev didn't take it well.

Debbie reunited with Lou

At the prison, Ronnie barely had any time to visit Debbie before he was sent out again. When Debbie awaited her assigned 'carer' to wheel her to her cell though, she was shocked to come face to face with Lou Michaelis.

Lou didn't give Debbie a warm welcome but this didn't stop her from asking after her kids though. Sounds like Lou.

Todd's friends cheered him up

Sarah visited George and wondered whether Todd was having some financial difficulties. They then gathered the troops and treated Todd to a takeaway and drinks at the pub. That at least out a temporary smile on his face. The first in ages.
