After showing off a picture of her dazzling ring, the celebrations came thick and fast for Lucy. First, there was a cosy dinner for two to let the news sink in. Tanisha Gorey Tanisha Gorey best known for playing Asha Alahan on the ITV soap, shared her happy news on Instagram in January 2026, posting a series of joyful snaps to mark the milestone. At the heart of the celebration was a heart-shaped cake iced with the words ‘just engaged,’ which Tanisha proudly held as she confirmed she was officially a bride-to-be. The sweet touches didn’t end there. Polaroid photos of Tanisha and her partner surrounded the cake. Tthe actress made sure her sparkling new ring took centre stage. In another picture, Tanisha was seen sitting on a hotel bed decorated with red and silver balloons spelling out ‘I love you.’ Smiling broadly, she held a large bouquet of flowers as she admired her diamond. She captioned the post with the emotional words ‘brb still crying.’ She also shared a photo of herself posing alongside her partner, Lucas Whelan, in front of a Christmas tree. The couple have been together for more than five years, celebrating their anniversary in May 2025, and appear ready to take the next step. Viewers might recognise James for his role as Michael Kavanagh in This City Is Ours. In August 2025, the Thousand Blows star shared a glamorous photo of himself alongside Olivia on Instagram, before posting another snap of her smiling and showing off a ring on her finger – confirming the engagement.
