Corriedale star and Carla Connor actress Alison King has landed herself a new role in a film – but what does this mean?

Currently on the cobbles, Carla’s working hard to expose Becky Swain’s true colours but it might just land her in huge trouble.

Away from the soap, actress Alison King is preparing for her scenes in new movie titled ‘Dirty Truckers’ to be released. But, will this mark a new era for the actress? Will Carla die in Corriedale?

Corrie star Alison King lands new movie role

On Coronation Street, Alison King has been busy filming lots of exciting scenes recently as she stars in the Emmerdale and Coronation Street crossover Corriedale. This will hit scenes in January 2026.

But, Corriedale isn’t the only project of Alison’s releasing soon.

According to Alison’s IMDB page, the soap star will appear in an upcoming movie called Dirty Truckers. She’ll play the part of Ella in the comedy based film.

The movie is currently in pre-production, with the plot involving a group of ‘unemployed British truck drivers in the 1980s who resort to illegal activities.’

The film is set to be 1 hour and 30 minutes long, with Alison being said to have filmed the scenes in the summer of 2024, the Metro reported.

Alison King’s soap future as Carla Connor threatened in Corriedale episode

Dirty Truckers might end up being Alison King’s first released project post Corrie era if Corriedale teasers are anything to go by.

On screen, Carla’s having a difficult time after ending her relationship with Lisa Swain.

As Becky Swain plans her escape, scenes to air in the Corriedale episode on January 5th 2026, will see Carla Connor caught up in a huge car pile-up.

In a recent trailer, Carla said ‘it’s okay, I’m here,’ while looking visibly distressed.

Carla’s had her fair share of near-death experiences over the years, but will this disaster be the one that ultimately claims her life? We’ll have to wait and see!
