In today’s Coronation Street ITVX episode (Wednesday, January 28), Carl Webster and Theo Silverton went to war on the day of Billy’s funeral.

Carl told Theo that he knew all about his little confession at the undertaker’s and could use it against him.

But, Theo then played Carl at his own game and held something huge over his head too.

Carl Webster knows Theo’s secret in Coronation Street

Before Billy’s funeral started, Carl Webster took the opportunity to tell Theo that he was the one who overheard him praying in the undertaker’s. He wasn’t sure if ‘corpses could forgive,’ but he was sure that Todd wouldn’t be so forgiving. Yes, Carl now knew all about Theo leaving poor Billy to die.

Now knowing this information, Theo’s guilt started to become too much. Instead of accepting what he’d done, Theo then took over Todd’s eulogy at the funeral and blamed him for wanting to leave the wedding early. If he’d just stayed an hour longer, Billy would’ve stayed too and avoided the crash.

However, Theo then subtly tried to admit his part to play in Billy’s death to Todd by regretting ‘not being braver’ and trying to save him. Todd then hugged Theo and told him it wasn’t his fault. But, if only he knew…

Also today, Ryan Connor was confronted by a group of masked men at the hotel who demanded he opened the till. They then made off with the takings from the night bar, leaving Ryan in a cut to his face.

Carl Webster rushed in to warn off the men before calling the police and for an ambulance. He then told Ryan that they’d also taken the £3k in the safe too.

Outside, Carl met up with the men and was revealed to be behind the whole thing. As he paid the guys off though, Theo snapped some photos of him as evidence.

He then confronted Carl and told him that he wouldn’t tell Debbie and Ryan as long as he kept his secret too.

If he dared to say a word to anybody, it would be him ending up in a box just like Billy… Was this just an empty threat? Or, could Theo bump of Carl in a bid to silence him?
