On the cobbles at the moment, Theo’s enjoying watching Todd Grimshaw suffer following their recent break up. And, in scenes to come, his abuse of Todd is set to go to a new extreme despite the split. Theo and Todd ended their relationship (Credit: ITV) Todd and Theo’s split in Coronation Street Viewers recently watched Theo Silverton and Todd Grimshaw bring their relationship to an end on the cobbles. But despite the split, Theo’s influence over Todd hasn’t disappeared – and Todd is far from free of the situation. Things reached a breaking point when Theo threatened Todd with a knife during his birthday celebrations. This left their relationship beyond repair. When Gary arrived, he found Todd clearly struggling. He was angrily pulling apart a brand-new food blender. Not long after, Theo turned up at the flat himself and confronted Todd, insisting that their endless rows and misery were Todd’s fault. In a final gesture, Theo removed his engagement ring and called time on the relationship. James has a famous dad (Credit: Shutterstock) Coronation Street star James Cartwright’s dad is famous playwright Away from the cobbles, fans might not be aware that actor James Cartwright actually has a very famous father in the industry. His dad is Jim Cartwright – a writer and playwright. However, he’s also made a name for himself in the acting world too. He starred in four episodes of Corrie himself in 2016 as the character Nigel Warner. Fans might remember Nigel being involved in Alex Warner’s paternity storyline. Nigel was stunned to discover that he was never actually Alex’s biological father. Jim also wrote a half dozen of episodes of the ITV soap in 2011, also being known for his contribution to The Afternoon Play, Little Voice, and Playhouse Presents. Jim is also set to star alongside his son in a new comedy-horror project titled Bjorn of the Dead which will be released soon.
