With Debbie having a big festive wedding, her niece Rosie Webster appearing amongst the guests wouldn’t be out of the question. Except, it unfortunately is, because Helen has now revealed that Corrie hasn’t asked her back despite her desire to come back to the cobbles. Helen wants to return to the soap (Credit: ITV) Helen Flanagan calls for Rosie Webster to return to Coronation Street Rosie Webster appeared on screen between 1990 – 2018. She left the cobbles in 2018 while Helen went on maternity leave. However, this ‘temporary’ exit actually ended up looking to be rather permanent as Rosie hasn’t been seen in Weatherfield since. Speaking to the Sun, Helen Flanagan has made a fresh plea to the soap as she has once again expressed her wishes to reprise her role on Corrie. Article Continues Below Read all the latest Spoilers Over the years since her departure, Helen has been very vocal about her hopes to return to the soap, now saying: “I’d love to go back to Coronation Street, but they just haven’t asked me and I live around the corner, but they just haven’t asked me.” She then added: “I’d love to, if they asked me. I’d come back, but they obviously haven’t.” Is a Rosie return looming? (Credit: ITV/ Comp CSI) Why now would be the perfect time for Rosie to return to the cobbles With Helen wanting to step into the shoes of character Rosie once again, and living just only around the corner, a Rosie Webster return seems really convenient. Fans have been longing to see Rosie again, and now would be the perfect time for her to make a reappearance. Currently on screen, Rosie’s aunt Debbie is due to get married to Ronnie Bailey. Her wedding scenes will air in a couple of weeks. And, there are expected to be lots and lots of guests in attendance. After all, Debbie knows a lot of people. Little Miss Popular. Rosie being one of these guests, even just for a brief appearance, would be expected. And, then, there’s Debbie struggling with her worsening dementia symptoms. She needs all the family support she can get. The more, the better. While Rosie’s return isn’t on the cards for the moment, could she return in the future?
