The Sam Blakeman actor recently took to Instagram to pay tribute to his late family member. And, as soon as the post was made public, his fellow Corrie co-stars rushed to send their love to the grieving actor. Jude plays Sam on the ITV soap (Credit: ITV) Coronation Street star Jude Riordan opens up on emotional family loss Posting a series of photos onto his Instagram page yesterday (Monday, March 9), Jude revealed that his King Charles Cavalier dog Ruby had sadly passed away. In the photos, Jude Riordan is cuddling and playing with his pet dog through many stages of his life – from a young lad to more recently. Even though she was at end of life stage it was still a big shock. Yesterday we had to say goodbye to Ruby. I held her little face right until the end. Loosing a dog is so painful. She was a sweet girl and we will miss her forever. I hope her tired legs are strong again running over rainbow bridge.” The emotional news hit Jude’s followers hard, especially so for his Coronation Street co-stars who know how much Ruby means to the young actor.
