A devastating day for Debbie

In today’s early ITVX release episode of Coronation Street (Friday, February 6), Debbie Webster was sadly sentenced to time in prison.

When she headed down to her cell, she then complained that she couldn’t see and suffered another TIA.

She was then rushed to hospital and Ronnie was informed of Debbie’s condition.

Debbie was sentenced to prison in Coronation Street

Today on the cobbles, Debbie prepared to go to court to receive her verdict. Before doing so, she wanted to say goodbye to Carl but he couldn’t care less about what happened to her and decided not to support her in court.

The judge then revealed that Debbie would receive a four year sentence for the crash that killed Billy Mayhew. However, because she pleaded guilty, this would be reduced to two years and eight months.

Summer was over the moon to get some justice for Billy’s death, but she wasn’t happy when Bernie seemed more concerned about Debbie than her late son-in-law.

As Debbie was shut inside her cell, she was all alone as she complained that she couldn’t see.

She then started to panic and banged on the door begging for someone to help her.

Back on the Street, Ronnie Bailey received a phone call from the prison. He was informed that Debbie had been taken to hospital.

They told him that his wife has suffered another TIA and was being looked after by medical professionals. When Carl heard this, there was a slight sign of remorse on his face.

At the hospital, Debbie woke up to be met by a member of staff who tried to explain what had happened to her.

Disorientated, Debbie wasn’t best pleased when she was told that ‘she bet she could murder a brew…’ Awks.

Poor Debbie then realised what had happened to her and broke down in tears before realising that she was handcuffed to the hospital bed and was being guarded by a prison guard. Super emotional stuff.
