She’s put plans in place should the worst happen and she ends up behind bars for a crime she didn’t even commit. But, sadly, spoilers have now confirmed her fate ahead of the verdict scenes airing on screen. Debbie receives her verdict this week (Credit: ITV) Debbie prepares for court in Coronation Street This week on the cobbles, Debbie prepares to head to court for the verdict. Worrying that Debbie’s dementia symptoms might get worse while inside, a guilty Carl starts to feel bad about framing his sister for the Corriedale crash. With everything eating him up inside of him, Carl decides to tell Debbie the truth. He was the one to was responsible. Debbie then shocks him by revealing that she already knew this but wanted to protect him. Article Continues Below Read all the latest Spoilers Why? Well, because she’s actually his mum. It’s fair to say that Carl’s very shocked. Debbie then heads to court and awaits her verdict, but it seems as though Carl’s not ready to confess to anybody else yet… And, Debbie gets locked up behind bars. Sob. Spoilers for next week see Debbie be given a cellmate – and it’s none other than former Weatherfield villain Lou Michaelis. Yes, while Lou’s return is only temporary, she’s set to cause some huge tensions for Debbie while inside. And, it paves the way for the possibility of more future comebacks for the character too. With Debbie inside, can Lou take her under her wing though? Or, will she make Debbie’s time inside even worse than it’s already gearing up to be?
