Going up to tend to a leak, Kevin then decided that he didn’t want to be alive anymore and worried his family and friends. With his ex Abi then rushing up to rescue him, it seemed that her desperate attempt to help Kevin worked. Kevin didn’t want to be alive (Credit: ITV) Kevin’s rooftop declaration in Coronation Street Having had enough of the leak in the garage roof, Kevin headed up there today but wouldn’t come down. Brian started to cause a scene because all he seemed to care about was Kevin fixing his clutch. Well, he could ‘stick his clutch where the sun doesn’t shine’ because Kevin wasn’t in the mood to work today. In fact, he wasn’t in the mood for anything. He didn’t feel as though there was any point in being alive anymore. As Brian begged Kevin to come down to fix his clutch, Sally and Abi feared that Kevin was going to jump off the roof. Taking drastic action, Abi then climbed up onto the roof herself in a bid to talk him down. Abi talked Kevin down (Credit: ITV) Abi attempts to save Kevin in Coronation Street Sitting down with Kevin on the roof, Abi spoke to him about how he was feeling. Kevin didn’t see any hope for him now that his marriage had failed. Abi told Kevin that the affair wasn’t really Carl’s fault. It was her fault. She had been pulling away from Kevin ever since Seb died, and she and Kevin were never really able to mend their relationship after the time she cheated with Imran. Kev then asked Abi if there was any chance of saving their marriage but she told him that there was not. She would always love him but not in the way he wanted her to anymore. She then told him that he needed to come down and be there for Jack. And, Kevin accepted that she was right. With Kevin back down on solid ground, Jack then said that he would move back in.
