ITVX early release confirms Lisa's embarrassing last ditch attempt to win back Carla

Well, her plan worked

Lisa wasn’t letting Carla go that easily in today’s early ITVX episode of Coronation Street (Wednesday, January 21), making quite a fool of herself.

She decided that she’d try on last time to reignite their relationship as she couldn’t face losing the love of her life.

And, surprisingly, as embarrassing as her whole public scene was, Lisa’s efforts actually proved to be successful! We know right?

Lisa Swain’s last attempt to win back Carla in Coronation Street

Preparing for a big meeting with a client at the hotel, Carla was surprised when Ryan handed her an old school love letter from Lisa.

Lisa had asked her to meet her at the bistro for lunch to talk things over… However, Carla hadn’t replied back.

When Carla met up with her clients, they asked her to turn her phone off during the conversation. And, poor Lisa had been trying to text Carla to ask where she was, drowning her sorrows at the bistro and feeling stood up (although Carla had never actually confirmed she was going to show in the first place).

Drunk and storming over to the Chariot Square Hotel, Lisa then publicly confronted Carla for leaving her all alone in the restaurant. She then sobbed that Carla was her ‘soul mate’ and her ‘everything,’ before throwing up right on there on the floor. That wasn’t before calling Carla’s clients ‘baldies’ either.

It was then up to hero Ryan to save the day and cart Lisa off to sober up as Carla was forced to call an end to her business meeting.

Carla and Lisa reunite

Well, Lisa’s drunken display of affection actually seemed to do the trick as, by the end of the episode, Carla was back by Lisa’s side.

With Lisa almost asleep on the sofa back at home, Carla sat with and soothed her while listening to Lisa mumble words of disbelief that Carla had returned to her.

She really thought she’d lost her forever. Carla then replied back that she was just being stubborn and that Lisa should know how she operates by now. Hearing Lisa call her clients ‘baldies’ reminded her exactly why she fell for her in the first place. Whatever works, we guess.

Lisa then told Carla that she ‘loved her so much,’ and with a very difficult sigh, Carla reciprocated her feelings. Swarla reunited at last! Rejoice!
