Megan Walsh decided to go ahead with her pregnancy in tonight’s episode of Coronation Street (Monday, January 19), with Will being the baby daddy.

Megan pregnant with Will’s baby in Coronation Street

Viewers were convinced Megan Walsh had gone through with her termination after confiding in Leanne Battersby that she wasn’t ready to be a mum… but surprise, surprise! She turned up at work looking rough around the edges, determined not to take a sick day. Daniel offered her time off, but Megan wouldn’t let him win.

Will, noticing Megan wasn’t herself, did a full detective sweep – prying info from Eva and Leanne before confronting Megan himself. Panicking, he assumed she was on death’s door and vowed to stick by her ‘until the very end.’

Turns out Megan isn’t dying… she’s pregnant, and yes, carrying his baby. But she’s keeping it hush-hush, worried the bump would out her secret.

Will dreams of moving in and starting a family, but Megan burst his bubble. She’s running away to raise the baby herself so that nobody will expose her and Will’s illegal love affair. Will she successfully escape, or will the cobbles see a baby bombshell explode?

Coronation Street spoilers reveal Megan’s desperate attempt to protect lover Will

In Coronation Street spoilers for the rest of the week, Will’s desperate to know how Megan will explain her absence, and worrying that anyone might think she’s unwell. Megan Walsh, ever the ‘protector,’ keeps him from spiraling, softening the blow with just enough reassurance to stop him going full meltdown.

Later, outside the school, Will throws himself into full-on puppy-dog mode, begging Megan to break things off with Daniel, claiming it’s too painful to see them together. Megan promises she’ll try… at least for now, keeping her clever cover intact to shield Will from heartbreak.

At the bistro, Daniel apologises for being intense but can’t hide his feelings, and when he hints at tattling on Will, Megan sidesteps with finesse. The tension spikes at the athletics meet as Will gets distracted by old rival Lee, while Megan arranges a secret ginnel meet with Lee himself. She’s plotting… but what exactly?

What else happened in Coronation Street tonight?

Nina apologised to Roy

Nina suggested that Roy's romance with Alice was developing. But, Brian soon told her that her comment was ill-timed considering that tomorrow was the anniversary of Hayley's death.

Feeling bad, Nina then apologised to Roy and told him that she only wanted him to be happy. He then told her that he'd appreciate it if his niece remembered his late wife's anniversary.

Betsy tried to save the day

Lisa wanted to talk to Carla about her and Betsy moving out of the house. But, Betsy then visited Carla at Underworld and tried to convince her to move back in with them as one big, happy family again.

Carla rejected the idea and told her that it just wasn't possible. Too much had happened. Valid.

Jodie had it out with Shona

With David at the hospital with Harper while Shona was feeling a little bit under the weather, Jodie confronted her over leaving her with a horrible father as a child.

Shona had no idea that Jodie was treated so badly. Jodie then got so angry that her sister had abandoned her all those years ago that she smashed David's 'best hairdresser' mug and cut her hand.

David then returned to announce that Harper was doing well, while also fuming that his mug (that he'd bought himself) had been smashed.

Leanne had an opportunity for Maggie

Leanne offered to buy Maggie's share of the Rovers, pretending that it was all her idea and not Eva's. Maggie then told her that she wouldn't be going down that easily.
