Just when Weatherfield thought it had survived the worst, the real drama is only getting warmed up. The wreckage may have been cleared away, but the emotional debris is still scattered everywhere, and it’s threatening to trip up just about everyone involved. Guilt, grief and secrets that were supposed to stay locked away are all bubbling up beneath the surface, and it won’t take much for them to explode. As Billy’s funeral approaches, Theo is barely holding himself together. Haunted by the knowledge that he left Billy to die, his conscience refuses to stay quiet. Viewers see Theo at the coffin, offering a tearful apology and finally admitting his guilt. But just as he unloads his soul, a sudden noise sends him racing out in a blind panic. Has someone heard more than they should, or is Theo’s mind playing tricks on him? Elsewhere on the Street, Shona and David are stuck in limbo after Shona survives premature labour. With baby Harper facing life-saving surgery, emotions are running high. And just when Shona needs peace and quiet, chaos walks back into her life in the form of sister Jodie. Last seen fleeing through the woods with her wrists bound on the night of the crash, Jodie’s return raises plenty of awkward questions about what she’s hiding and what she really wants.
