1. Betsy finds a body in Coronation Street flashforward

Weatherfield is swapping hotpots for handcuffs in a twisty flashforward episode that screams ‘murder most cobbled.’ We open on a visibly shaken Betsy Swain, perched opposite a detective and being grilled about how she found a dead body.

The tape recorder clicks, the questions circle… and then comes the kicker. This police interview isn’t happening now – it’s set in April.

Yes, the scenes are part of a special flashforward meaning that Betsy actually finds the body two months from now. So, it’s safe to say that someone’s time in Weatherfield is running out.

2. Five potential victims unveiled

The episode zig-zags between present day and the mysterious date of the crime, dropping breadcrumbs like someone’s lost a loaf in Roy’s Rolls. In the ‘before’ timeline, tensions simmer, secrets bubble and more than one resident looks capable of swapping their pint for a prison sentence. In the ‘after,’ the mood is icy, alliances look shaky and nobody’s quite telling the full story.

As the hour unfolds, alibis wobble faster than a wobbly pub table. Friendships fracture. Tempers flare. One heated exchange here, one suspicious glance there – and suddenly half the Street looks like they’ve got something to hide. It’s less ‘who nicked the milk’ and more ‘who nicked a life.’

Just when you think you’ve clocked the culprit, you’ll be left second guessing yourself.

In a final jaw-drop moment, five familiar faces are revealed as potential victims. Yes, five. Which means one of Weatherfield’s own is destined for a deadly departure – and the killer could be hiding in plain sight.

So who meets their maker? Who’s got murder on their mind? And will Betsy’s statement blow the case wide open?

One thing’s certain, spring in Weatherfield is looking anything but blooming.
