She swerves yet another text from Elaine, then slaps on a smile when Ronnie announces her mates have planned a big night out, pretending she’s thrilled while quietly avoiding the truth. Sally, Christina, Glenda and Bernie gather, glasses at the ready, only to realise the guest of honour is a no-show. Debbie eventually rings in from Leeds to explain she’s bailed completely.
