This week on screen, it was revealed Maggie has a history with Jim McDonald, meaning that rumour Steve and Ben were related is really true. Elsewhere, we saw Alya get an ultimatum from her boss, which could spell trouble for Adam. And Theo turned against George as a new way to get to Todd. Beyond this week, we’re looking forward to the new few months of exciting Corrie drama. Here’s what’s to come on the cobbles. The storyline is set to continue (Credit: ITV) 1. Todd and Theo’s abusive relationship in Coronation Street spoilers Todd and Theo’s relationship has been intensifying in a horrible way recently, with Theo becoming increasingly more controlling and violent towards his partner. Poor Billy Mayhew was the only one who knew what Theo had being doing but now he’s sadly dead (thanks to Theo who left him to die in a burning minibus). Article Continues Below Read all the latest Spoilers The storyline will continue to play out for some time yet, with Corrie producer Kate Brooks revealing: “This is not something that’s wrapped up after a couple of months. “This is ongoing. and we will continue to tell the story about this domestic abuse truthfully and realistically.” While, Todd and Theo did go their separate ways this week, it’s clear that the storyline isn’t going anywhere just yet. Todd’s unaware that Theo was behind the mess, but things are about to get sinister as Theo will soon spike Todd’s drink. Exactly what happens next remains to be seen. The Driscolls wants revenge (Credit: ITV) 2. Will’s grooming secret revealed Viewers will know that fitness coach Megan Walsh is currently grooming teen Will Driscoll. Kate Brooks teased: “Sam gets wind that’s something’s amiss, and we will see the lengths that Megan will go to to manipulate Sam and to keep him quiet.” She then said, speaking of Leanne, Toyah and Eva: “You’ve got these three very strong, very fiery women, sisters, whose boys have been manipulated by Megan. This woman who they considered their friend…” A recent Corrie trailer confirmed that Megan’s secret will be revealed very soon. In the trailer, Eva and Ben were horrified to realise their son had been groomed, with both of them determined to get Megan put behind bars. But with a murder coming up soon, could she bow out of the streets in a coffin? Shona learns more about Jodie’s past (Credit: ITV) 3. Shona’s sister Jodie Shona’s just given birth to baby Harper, but things become worrying when Harper needs a blood transfusion. With the arrival of sister Jodie on the Street, she becomes a bit of a ‘lifesaver.’ However, Kate did tease that Jodie might have an ‘ulterior motive’ for worming her way back into Shona’s life. And, it’s going to cause the Platt family trouble… She’s already lied about her domestic abuse history and has tried to stop Shona from tracking down their dad, but what is Jodie hiding? It looks as though she’s now hoping to steal David from underneath Shona’s nose. Eek! Maggie’s secret was revealed (Credit: ITV) 4. A deadly murder mystery A recent Coronation Street flashfoward aired which took us to April 23rd – the night of a murder. The episode saw Betsy Swain find a dead body and give a statement to the police. The possible victims are Megan, Theo, Carl, Jodie, and Maggie. One dies. But, viewers will have to tune in to see who it is! There are people on the street who have reasons for wanting all of them dead. But, only time will tell who the actual victim is. Wedding bells are on the way (Credit: ITV) 5. Wedding bells for Carla and Lisa Carla and Lisa got back together recently. And the good news doesn’t just stop there. They also resumed their engagement, ready to marry on April 23rd. A happy ending for the couple, finally! It’s set to be a ‘lovely day’ before a grisly murder is uncovered… As well as this, the couple are also busy looking after little baby Connie – Rob and Mandy’s baby. They’ve got lots of sleepless nights ahead of them! Debbie’s in prison (Credit: ITV) 6. Debbie’s prison hell During the Corriedale episode, Carl Webster framed Debbie and put her unconscious body in the driver’s seat of his car. This was to frame her for the crash that killed Billy Mayhew. Debbie then took to the stand and pleaded guilty in a bid to protect Carl Webster – her secret son! She then told Carl the truth about being his mum. And, he admitted to Debbie that he framed her for the crash. Poor Debbie is now in prison for two years and eight months and has face to face with villain Lou Michaelis inside. And, if that wasn’t enough, ‘Queen Bee’ of the prison played by Kelli Hollis is has also caused tension for Debs too. Bernie’s set to explore her grief (Credit: ITV) 7. Bernie’s grief Bernie’s buried a lot of grief under the surface over the years, and now it’s all set to come rising to the top in a new storyline involving Roy Cropper. Dealing with the death of son-in-law Billy, Bernie’s now turned to drink and drugs with stranger Mal which threatens to ‘test’ her and Dev’s marriage. Kate shared: “She’s buried a lot of grief. “So we wanted to kind of explore what would happen if she had to deal with another death, another really tragic death, and how that grief manifests.” There’s trouble for Adam and Alya (Credit: ITV) 8. Trouble ahead for Adam As it was revealed on Friday, March 13, Alya had been warned by her old Fabians boss to not poach anymore of his clients, otherwise there would be trouble ahead. He reminded her of her old contract. So, if she continues stealing them, he threatened to report her, which means she would lose her ability to work in law. Spoilers show that Adam faces a data leak coming up. This causes absolute carnage, as so many confidential emails and bits of information are leaked. One person in particular who is furious is Ronnie, as information about Debbie’s case has been shared. But with all of this happening right as Adam was able to poach a huge client that would bring quite a lot of success their way, is there something more sinister at play? It’s only a matter of time before Adam finds out Alya’s keeping secrets. But exactly what will happen next remains to be seen. But not only could it affect his business, with all the secrets, it is bound to have an impact on his relationship with Alya, too. Cassie is leaving this summer (Credit: ITV) 9. Cassie’s exit Cassie Plummer will be leaving the Street as actress Claire Sweeney joins the UK tour of Annie the Musical, in the role of Miss Hannigan. A Coronation Street spokesperson told The Sun: “We wish Claire every success playing Miss Hannigan and congratulate her on being offered a role she has long wanted to play. “Cassie will be on the cobbles until the summer during which time she will continue to make her presence felt in Weatherfield leading up to a great exit storyline.” But, what will Cassie’s ‘explosive’ storyline be? Steve and Ben are in for a shock (Credit: ITV) 10. Steve and Ben’s brother secret Steve McDonald’s set for a huge new storyline that is sparked from his dad Jim’s death. He’s set to find out that Ben Driscoll is actually his long-lost brother! A source told The Sun: “It’s no surprise that Jim had an affair but for Steve to discover he’s got another brother out there is a huge shock. When Steve finds out it’s Ben it’s an even bigger shock – especially with how close he’s been getting to Ben.” And on Thursday March 12, Coronation Street confirmed this when Maggie was recognised by one of Jim’s old army friends. He reminded her that Jim was married and had two young sons when they were seeing each other. While Maggie pretended she didn’t know what he was talking about, it was obvious that she did. And now we know that’s why she’s so determined for Ben to go to his hospital appointment for his heart check-up. But just how long can she keep her secret?
