Fans flocked to social media to point out that Sharon Mitchell’s grand plan to re-open nightclub R&R to pay for the business rates owed, might not work out because she doesn’t actually own it. Earlier this year Phil sold the club to Weyland & Co as part of Max Branning’s revenge scheme. And when it came to return the club to its rightful owner, Max opted to give the deeds to his brother Jack, Ronnie’s widower. But viewers pointed out that she couldn’t just re-open the club, mainly because she doesn’t actually own it. Mel didn’t seem too thrilled about the prospect of re-opening the club (Credit: BBC) One wrote: “How is Sharon running R & R now? Doesn’t Jack own the nightclub or is @BBCEastEnders making the rules up as they go along? #EastEnders” Another added: “Anyway, how does Phil own the club now when Max gave the deeds back to Jack? #EastEnders” A third tweeted: “Well #EastEnders has totally confused me.
